When purchased, I was told it had approx 9,700 original miles on the engine and tranny, but it has been stored in a garage for 15 years. There is surface oxidation on the aluminum engine casings (but polishes out quite easily) and head, with rust spots on the chrome, including those awesome Norton pea-shooter pipes

This bike is a one family owned bike since new, the bike has been sat idle since 1977 the year it was wrecked on the left hand side, bars, tank, side cover, speedometer and left exhaust was damaged. The bike is 99% rust free, It still has the original MADE IN ENGLAND AVON GP Tires Mi. I have replaced all of the items and had the speedometer housing repaired and sealed, I will include a photo of the spedometer before repair verifying the original mileage as accurate

In some of the photos you may see some oil on the rear tire and rim which was thrown off the chain which I like to keep fed with chain lube. This bike is so smooth due to the Isolastic motor mounts that the purr of that stocky low toned engine note. the bike is in great condition

I presumed that this was the original mileage, but an Ebay member shared that the speedometer may be from an earlier model. I am including a Corbin Gunfighter Seat & 2 Handlebars, which transform this into a racer. xxxx Norton Commando 850 Mark III is in excellent condition

The engine, VIN plate and gearbox, and the left fuel tank mount all have matching numbers. I did not mount the exhaust back on, but the exhaust ports were always tape. Tank is clean inside. Still has the original frame decals. Bike is in beautiful condition. It has 10,217 miles

Xxxx norton commando roadster (2 owner bike) very original. This bike comes with original sales slip from leo's south a minnesota based norton dealer. This bike retailed in xxxx for $xxxx. A triumph was traded in towards this bike and it is all documented on the invoice. I even have the original customer identification card and the tag from the wiring harness before the battery was hooked up. Also the complete service voucher, literature wallet etc.

The reason there shows 1400 miles is that a new Speedo and Tach were installed by original owner who refurbished some of the bike before I got it. The mufflers are stamped Norton and are both in excellent condition. he paint, chrome, wheels, handlebars, guages, seat, key switch assembly and everything else is as close to perfect as you can get. He had the tank and side covers professionally repainted Black with clearcoat etc

-Started as a nice stock, good running bike that I converted to a fastback.-I never went into the motor as it ran great but I serviced the entire bike from top to bottom including the now excellent working electric starter and then painstakingly made it into a fastback.-This took a lot of effort to accomplish and Ill never be paid for it but it has been done right.-The seat was the same and after the 2nd one it worked. -Frame paint is original and good. -Chrome in in very good to excellent condition nuts and bolts are very good no rust anywhere

The engine runs well, and starts easily on the electric starter, which is fitted with heavy leads, and drives the engine powerfully. Tires are good front and back, and the wheel rims are in great shape. The rear brake was fitted with a new stain less m/cyl, and stainless pistons in the rear caliper, also with a new genuine brake line
