Xxxx wla harley davidson 45" flathead. Bike is titled as a wla but i believe the bottom end was replaced on a wl. Bike does not appear to be converted from military. My guess is, the bottom end was replaced many years ago with a more readily available wla. Bike also appears to have an original chrome front end which i would assume is from a vl. This is a great bike and fires right up. Bike has some reproduction parts including dash, speedo and a few other odds n ends. Paint is in good shape with one deep scratch on the rear fender. I have the front fender, bottom half of rear fender, and other original items for the bike that were taken off. Bike is converted to 12 volts with a new electrical system. Bike has original linkert carb. Rear exhaust port on cylinder has an old repair done to it. Bike is overall in great condition for its age and would make an excellent runner for anyone's collection.

Up for sale is a 1942 harley davidson wla type iii restored, special motorcycle. The model wla was originally a military bike, used by the american army during world war ii and made available to the public after war ended. This motorcycle has the best options of its time, it's all original as a post war (civil) harley davidson. This is a true piece of world history as it was the motorcycle that guided the allies to the victory and became known as "liberator". They were the first vehicle the europeans from occupied villages and cities would see at the moment of liberation from the naziz. Harley davidson made a mass production of these bikes for war and they entered the roll of the most sold bikes. Historic motorcycle, 750 cc, antique, very appreciated and desired by harley davidson collectors. Extremely rare motorcycle, specially in the condition it is. The speedometer shows xxxx miles, but the true mileage is unknown. The rear tire is getting thin, but I have a brand new tire to go with it. You can drive it hands off and it does not pull either way
