It had rack and pinion steering and a cross flow radiator. It also had larger doors which allowed more room for the passenger to get in and out easily. The pacer also had the best new car introduction in amc history. They had to increase production several times to keep up with the demand. The pacer was built with the consumer in mind, it wasn’t just another car pumped out of production lines to be offered for sale. The amc pacer offered here for sale comes with a big file of receipts and also a file of pacer club newsletters. It has had lots of little things replaced over the years according to the stack of receipts such as water pump, spark plugs, radiator hoses, muffler and exhaust components, shocks, struts, ac condenser and compressor, u joints, various oil changes and much more. It is evident by all the receipts and files that this unique little car was well cared for and loved. This pacer features a 258 cid 6 cylinder overhead valve engine capable of 120 horsepower. It is mated to an automatic transmission. The engine runs smoothly and the transmission shifts as it should. It also features ac, power brakes, power steering, 100 inch wheel base. It was stated by motor trend magazine “the most innovative of all u. Small cars.” the paint has a few minor flaws here and there but nothing major and shows very well. The chrome shines up well. Don’t miss this one at motoexotica classic cars, a 1976 amc gremlin. This car was made in kenosha, wisconsin and delivered to charlesworth pontiac-amc/jeep, inc. On highway 71 south in springdale, arkansas. Its first owner took delivery on december 17, 1976 and he owned the car until early 80's and then sold the gremlin to a friend who then owned the car until 2016, the car remained in the springdale arkansas area since new until we acquired the vehicle. We have never seen such a correct gremlin with so much documentation, this would be a great entry level classic car to invest and hold on to long term! This gremlin left kenosha with the following optional equipment – whitewall tires, interior appointment package, tinted glass – all windows, am pushbutton radio and a heavy-duty cooling system. The factory correct sunshine yellow exterior is in near-excellent overall condition, including the blacked-out headlight and taillight bezels, but there is a minor mark near the passenger-side front marker light. The car’s trim is in good condition, too. The glass panels are in overall good order but the windshield bears some blemishes from previous windshield wipers. The car’s body panels are straight and solid and there’s a metal rack atop the roof for extra storage. The cargo area is in good condition and includes a full-sized spare tire. The bumpers are in very good order, the engine bay is tidy and the battery looks new. This here is an extremely hard to find 1976 amc pacer. 4. 2 l 258 l6 engine. Automatic 3 spd transmission. 88,000 miles. I rescued this car from a field in kansas where it had sat since 1990. Towed it home, cleaned it up, got it titled, put a new battery in, replaced all fuses, plugs and wires, freed a locked/seized wheel, put brand new tires on it, and got it running. Needs a valve cover gasket and transmission work. All electrical works (aside from one headlight that has since burned out). Doors, locks, windows, hatch, and hood all work. Glass is 100% intact all the way around and the car is water tight. There is a hole in the driver floorboard and a bit of rust on the rear driver side wheel well and underneath the rear hatch on both sides. Car is in great condition for sitting so long. Crack in windshield is sealed. Interior and exterior lights work. May be willing to trade for older seadoo waverunners, old jeep, flatbed car hauler, or other toys. Air Conditioning

Amc matador barcelona. For 1976, the matador coupe received an interesting new grille consisting of two rectangular panels filled with horizontal grille bars and rectangular park/signal lamps. An inside hood release, previously optional, became standard equipment and the seat belt interlock system departed. Oddly enough, bias-ply rubber was standard again as radial tires returned to the option list. The brougham option, which included roll-down rear quarter windows, made its final bow for 1976. The popular brougham decor was still offered, but the x package was no longer available. A more economy-minded 2. 87:1 rear axle ratio came with all v-8s, but the previously standard 3. 15:1 cogs could still be ordered. There was no cassini option for the 1976 coupes, but amc styling came up with a new trick, the barcelona package. Matador brougham coupes with this package were treated to lush individual reclining seats in tan or black knap knit fabric, thick carpeting with matching trim for the lower door panels, black or tan color-keyed wheel covers, a stand-up hood ornament, barcelona nameplates for the hood and decklid, special medallions on the glove box and fenders, and a red-and-yellow bodyside stripe. If the tan interior was chosen, the grille, headlamp bezels, and rear license plate cove received tan accents. This one owner matador comes from new mexico. It came from a collector of amc cars that stopped driving them around 70,000 miles. This original car comes with all of its documentation from day one. The interior and exterior are almost flawless. We serviced the car by reconditioning the gas tank and fuel system. Will receive minor touch up on rear drivers panel. Bucket Seats✔ Aluminum Wheels
