Chassis mods include a custom polished aluminum 4" over aluminum swing-arm with 530 chain conversion and a 3.5" tubeless back wheel from a 1986 GS1150 with new bearings to replace the skinny 2.5" stock wheel. It runs great and I have most of the stock parts except for the exhaust. I swapped the engine for a low mile 1986 GS1150 motor and had the crank balanced and blueprinted. Also had the trans back-cut and it shifts perfect. It has 36mm Mikuni flat-slides, K&N air filters, Vance & Hinds header & clutch basket, new clutch plates and springs, dyna coils and Taylor spark plug wires

These bikes were and are still used for 1/8 or 1/4 miles drags. Forks have the anti-dive that was a big techno feature from the day. Here's an '83 Suzuki GS1100e I bought some months ago as a non running project with some electrical problem that adding a new Yusa Battery (with the probe) did not cure.
