All parts removed, sand blasted then Powder coated/Painted By Bill’s Powder Coating and Grubbs Garage Complete Engine Rebuild by P. 1979 Honda CR125 Elsinore (The Red Rocket as it was called back in the days) This is the only rear that Honda made a 23” front Rim on the CR series race bikes (Rare Find as most have been replaced over the years with the standard 21” rims) This is the first year for the true long travel shocks This is the last year for the famous Honda Metal gas tank

1979 Honda 125r Elsinore the rare red rocket this bike is pretty much complete missing a right side plastic the bike runs strong needs an air filter has a couple dings in the tank bars look a little bent has the rare 23 inch front wheel seat has a tear in the back view all pictures for better description of the item for sale ps not title.

The fuel tank is mint with automotive paint applied . I put on a new fuel line and filter , changed the trans fluid this week. The frame and swing arm were powder coated . Hubs , spokes , tubes , locks and tires are new . Engine , trans and clutch have been rebuilt

We did the following restoration: bike was completely disassembled replaced all seals bearings and bushings in chassis frame and the perfect tank where repainted with color code correct paint. reassembled and painted with color correct paint. This bike was a untouched survivor it still had the original date code tires but had been sitting in a boat shop underneath a lean to for 30yrs

Changed the carb but did not really take time to check how it's burnin. Over the next few weeks I will be selling some choices bikes . Almost entirely stock except the shocks carb seat cover. Thought about it and then did the tank too. Decided he could use a paint job. Took him down and did the frame

tires are as new, ran great last time i rode it, fox airs were professional rebuilt, the only things i know need attention are clutch plates ( was a lil grabby last time i rode it but does not slip ) and maybe needs a new pipe . i had 3 other 79 cr125 that i raced so i have tons of extra parts that go with the bike. i raced it with my local club TVRC for the past few years and decided to stop racing due to age
