I love finding cars restored as nicely as this one. It is a stunning Olds. It runs and drives just as well too. High quality restoration with no details missed. Stock car with a new style, vintage air conditioning. This is a "body on" restoration. Excellent interior is also done in blue. Same with the trunk, it's all carpeted. I think maybe the biggest thing is the chrome. Most every little piece has been re-chromed. It's details like this that set this Oldsmobile off. 324 cu in (5.3 L) Rocket V8. Automatic transmission. Wide white wall radial tires. Seat belts in the front. Oldsmobile's 88 line got a complete redesign in 1954 which featured a more squared off body shape as well as wrap around windshields. There were 18 solid color and 18 two tone color combinations available in '54. Because these are very demanding colors this is a professional respray that still has plenty of 50s-style gloss when taken out into the sunshine. All the sheet metal appears factory original and expertly restored to show standards. Cool details like the globe hood emblem and bullet-shaped taillights remain and all the stainless trim pieces have been mirror polished, plus both bumpers are still looking like new. This is an extremely nice olds that most passers-by will take notice of. People have a clear view of the interior so it's quite nice to see that the blue on blue wow factor continues on the inside. There was plenty of money invested in keeping the items like the doors panels, dashboard, and headliner still retain the stock appearance and are in wonderful condition.
