The carwas purchased with 21,000 miles (yes that is correct). I drove it for 13k anddecided to do a sohc Vtec swap. I have around 14k since the vtec conversion, andit has been the most fun/reliable Mini that I have owned in 18 years. It cruisesat 70mph at around 3250rpm and does it with zero issues. I try to drive this caras much as possible (weather permissible), but due to this it does have someminor blemishes. I have never driven it in snow, salted roads, or rain. It hashad some body panels touched up before I bought it, but no issues have shown upfrom it. The panels themselves are hard to to distinguish. It definitely lookslike a paint shop did the work. As for the rest of the body, the car is verysolid and rust free. I love this car and have babied it, but time to move on toa new toy. Details:All of the following has occurred within the last 14,000miles (first aftermarket speedometer died at 12,000 miles and currentaftermarket speedometer reads at a little over 2500 miles). This Vtec conversion is not a MINITEC kit. Due to several closefriends' unfortunate experiences, I decided to go a different route. 1978 austin mini convertible de luxe model,rare convertible option in 1978. Classic mini is right hand drive ,comes with many new parts cars exterior was painted plasti dip flat black a removable plastic paint. The original color is blue. Car has a rebuilt 1275 engine mated to an automatic transmition, original manual trans and engine(998 cc engine )will be available for purchase in separatly top is in good condition with no tears,glass is all good except front windscreen has a stone chip(see pic) all gauges work and has a stereo installed but not currently working as the custom boombox and amplifiers were removed, the wipers work intermidently sometimes work sometimes don't may be a loose wire or ground. A lot of new parts have been installed including new bullet style side mirrors,new taillights,new front bumper,new hood straps and fiberglass front hood with scoop. Wheels (rims and tires 2 yrs ago),exhaust system, gauges (see pics), new steering rack,both left and right tie rods are new as well, new suspension coil overs, shocks,a carbon fiber dash was installed 2 yrs ago,as well as new door panels. There is also a custom made roll bar for the car not installed. Interior is in good condition with racing club bucket seats,drivers side floor was patched 2 yrs ago. Passenger floor has dime sized hole forming ,new brake master . Nice little one of kind mini. Clean new jersey title 9500 must sell within the next 2 months. Bucket Seats
