Starts and drives great. Very strong engine and tranny. Body needs to be sanded, primed and painted with a few repairs. *one rust spot, front and rear spoilers need to be replaced or repaired, left rear tail light needs to be replaced. The dash board needs to be redone. The seats have been reapolstered but aren't perfect. The body is straight, the tires are pretty much new, this is a great starting point for a pretty cool car. A couple other things i noticed since i bought it are: the gas gauge doesn't work and sometimes the 'add coolant light' displays even tho there is plenty of coolant. I've had no issues with the car, i drive it pretty much every weekend. I am buying a new house and need the money, otherwise, i would keep it and continue rebuilding it myself. Lonnie 801-404-5000.

Must have for the mazda collector - all records everything since day 1including all-books- manuals the orig window sticker $9870. 20. Never smoked in always under the silk cover since day 1. All tools - spare tire never been out,car has 2 sets of wheels the orig and a new set of bbs style -bolth sets of wheels have new tires. Car has hidden cd & mp3 stereo system very nice and tubi sport exhaust $2000 alonecar speaks for itself none better.. And please ask the wife 1st.

Goes into a weak drive when put into reverse I was told the trans was rebuilt, so maybe a stall converter or value body. V8 302 5.0 truck block 90s High performance holley 750 or 900 carburetor jetted high 1000 or 950 I'm guessing, elecric fuel pump with new lines, Mustang GT GTP gt40p heads not just GT40. Lokar kickdown tv cable installed already, just needs to be adjusted at linkage on transmission and cable at carburetor

I would be willing to trade for a miata. Or honestly something eqaul condition thats rwd and has an lsd or posi. Testing the waters i guess. The car is all orignial except for an exhaust. The clock says 73k or so. Has some body damge to the rear, passenger door and left fender. I have the replacement tail light covers if the dents ever get pulled. No major rust spots. I don't have a lift and my eyes are getting bad but I cannot see any rust which I believe as this car has seen show only once in its life. This one rolled off the assembly line during the first month of RX7 production, March of 1978, and I'm the original / only owner taking delivery in July of 1978. RX7s haven't hit collectable status yet but I think they're getting close and this would be a great one to have ready for that time

I have a first year mazda rx7no engine or transmissionthe body is solid with little rust only behind the rear wheels. It has some small dents on the drivers side. The floor pans have rust holes but the trunk pan and behind the seats is solid. All the glass is in good condition and none of it is cracked. The interior is stripped, except for the door panels, seats, and dash. All the gauges and steering column parts are there. It has all the front and rear suspension, rear end, and breaks systems. This is a great start for a light and fast v8 car and i have a clean title in hand. Parts are negotiableclean title in hand450$ or best offer.
