The front seats are individually adjustable, the functional center console separating the seats houses controls for the heater, radio speaker, and power windows, as well as ash trays for front and re. Handling improved in 1959, when leaf springs returned to the rear suspension from an earlier coil spring design that did not work out in 1958 as the designers planned. Motivated by the powerful new 352ci V-8 Interceptor engine, the Square Birds were swift and sporty, though not high performance Power Windows✔ Bucket Seats

The second generation ford thunderbird was produced by ford for the 1958 to 1960 model years as a successor to the popular 1955-1957 two-seater. As a result, sales soared and the new model dramatically expanded the personal luxury car market, winning the motor trend car of the year in 1958. Over 200,000 units were produced in its three-year model run, quadruple that of the two-seater in its three-year span. The new thunderbird had a distinct new styling theme. The design was driven entirely by the styling department and approved before the engineering was considered. The design was one of two proposals, styled primarily by joe oros, who later worked on the 1964 ford mustang. However, the losing proposal, styled by elwood engel, would gain its own place in ford motor company history: after minor revisions, it would become the 1961 lincoln continental. For the 1959 model year, ford made changes to the front, rear, and side ornamentation; leather upholstery was available for the first time. The rear suspension was revised, discarding coil springs for hotchkiss drive with parallel leaf springs. A new v8 engine, the 345-hp 430 cu in mel-series, was available in small numbers. Sales almost doubled again, to 67,456 units, including 10,261 convertibles. Thunderbird advertising in 1959 targeted women in particular, showing glamorous models in country club and other exclusive settings, and the sales figures bore out ford's marketing plans. This gorgeous thunderbird has been well preserved, with new correct factory color paint of glacier green, leaving door jambs, trunk and engine compartment in factory original paint. Original weatherstripping is holding up very well. Solid clean uni-body floor sections, with no rust issues or corrosion. We can make no guarantees as to the accuracy of the above information. However, please understand as with all pre-owned automobiles, the described condition is subjective . .

This pickup has no title. It was lost several years ago. Has some rust on the cab corners, floor and fenders. Front and rear windows in good condition. Side glass will need to be replaced. Pickup is 98% complete. This would include the cab, doors, hood, grill, fenders and runningboards. Please read the fastenal paragraph for more info on shipping. I will supply the pallet. The only downfall with using fastenal, is they do not ship to the western states (california, oregon, washington). There are over 2600 stores in the us. It takes about 7-10 business days to arrive there. They do not guarantee arrival times and do not offer tracking. They are simply sent from warehouse to warehouse within the fastenal companies. Please do not pester them with phone calls as they are very busy. Fastenal will not deliver this to a 3rd party warehouse or international shipping facility. I will ship most things on only a pallet. This has been the most cost-effective way to ship bulky items. They do not insure uncrated shipments; therefore, i will not insure uncrated items. I will do my best to tie the load down. I will charge up to $100 to crate it. Please do not call asking for parts off whole vehicles. My phone floods with calls from guys looking for parts. Parting cars leaves the guy who buys the whole car scrambling to find these parts that i sold. All vehicles are being sold in as-is condition. We do not warranty them. Getting photos of the underside of a vehicle is difficult as we do not have a car lift. We accept cash in person, check, money orders, paypal and all major credit cards. There is a 3% charge for all paypal and credit card charges. Non-refundable deposits can also be made. A deposit will hold a vehicle for 45 days. We do not refund money. We can assist in finding transport and loading vehicle. We have a skidsteer on site, but cannot drive the skidsteer onto their trailer or lift vehicle up. Please find a transporter that has a flatbed trailer and winch. We’ve had problems with transporters coming with double decker trailers. These aren’t the most suitable in hauling these old non-running vehicles. The titles were lost several years ago and the vehicles were abandoned.
