I am selling my fairlady roadster because i have purchased a classic ford falcon. My wife said i do not need to have two fun cars. I hate to part with my fairlady; i have owned it for over 5 years and put a lot of love into it. However, it is time to let it go to a good home. This car was a barn find in georgia in 2012. I am the third owner. The first owner had it for two years and sold it to a colonel in the army. It was in his family until i purchased it. It had sat in a barn since 1994. The car was not running, no brakes, and no clutch when i got it. One nice thing, nobody had done anything to it as far as all the wiring was the correct colors. A couple of changes i made that are not stock to the 1600. I installed a new am/fm radio. I fabricated a new plate because the new stereo was wider than the original radio location. I still have the original plate and working am radio. I replaced the dash mirror and install a new rearview mirror on the windshield center support. I still have the dash mounted mirror. There is currently 55171 miles on the car, 53936 on the original odometer and 1235 on the new odometer. All exterior molding is there. The two front fender chrome “datsun 1600” and the rear “fairlady” emblems are new. Front and rear bumpers are in good shape but need to be straightened and re-chromed. Other chrome pieces such as around headlights and taillights have spots of surface rust. The body was painted green when i got the car. The original color is sora blue datsun paint code 563. Both front fenders have rust-though areas at the rear corners. There are various chips in the paint throughout. The car definitely needs body work and paintthe chrome wheels are on the car currently but i have the original rims and hubcaps. The heater and windshield wipers do not work. The soft top is original and old. There is large tears on both sides, it needs replaced. I have the removable hard top. Interior· all gauges· carpet· dash cover· center post mirror.· fairlady shift knob· floor pans· glove box interior· vent window handles· horns and horn button rebuild· stereo and speakers· turn signal switch· new seats and door upholstery. And there is a small scratch on the driver side front fend. And the color is slightly different. The passenger door was replaced in 1974 because it got bent open too far when it caught the side of my carport post. It received new exterior paint, top, recovered seats and deck as well as new carpet in 1982

This car had originally been purchased back in 2010 through The car had been stripped down and repainted as well! Had been in good shape under the Hood but the Engine Starter had been replaced and an Electric Radiator fan was also installed both the Exhaust Manifold and Muffler have also been replaced as well as the Engine mounts! The series was a predecessor to the z-car in the fairlady line, and offered a competitor to the european mg, triumph, fiat and alfa romeo sports cars. The line began with the 1959 "s211" and continued through 1970 with the "sp311" and "sr311" line. The fairlady saw competitors follow its introduction, with examples called the honda s500, the toyota sports 800, and the daihatsu compagno. In japan, it represented one of three core products offered by nissan at japanese nissan dealerships called nissan shop, alongside the datsun truck and the datsun 1000. The datsun srl 2000 was the 2 seat roadster that made their name. Paul newman started his racing career in one. It had a potent 1982cc overhead cam engine with dual su type side draft carbs and a 5 speed transmission. In 1991, nissan introduced a limited number two-door convertible styled in a retro appearance to the datsun sports called the nissan figaro. Gr auto gallery is pleased to offer this outstanding, partially restored, 1967 datsun 1600 convertible. The restoration dating back to 2003 shows a rebuilt engine with only 1700 miles, all new front suspension using only nissan oem parts, brand new oem factory wire harness, and lots of other oem parts that were replaced, an overall very well done restoration. The paint was also professionally refinished a few years back and shows very well on what appears to be a rust free body. The reliable and surprisingly powerful 1600 motor gives the driver plenty of power and engages with the 4spd flawlessly. With a pull of the knob and all lights function properly as they should. The original 14 inch wheels are in great shape and currently wrapped in tires with minimal miles. A brand new top that installed in 2003 but was only up a very small number of times still shows to be as new. These datsun’s are becoming very difficult to find and even harder to find that are in running and useable condition.
