Conceived before wwii, the design was to provide the french people with a cheap car in the same image of the ford model t or vw beetle. Using extremely simple and durable designs for a low cost, the 2cv was an ingenious design. The car was so inexpensive to purchase and operate and was capable on and off the road in the rough french countryside. It was describe as a world car like none other and over 9 million 2cvs and their variants were sold from 1948 to 1990. The current owner bought the car in california where it was most likely imported. It features a two tone burgundy and black exterior and a grey interior. Overall the condition of the car is excellent with minimal marks or damage. The glass is intact and the car appears to be fully functioning. While early models came with a 373cc h2 cylinder that pumped out a breathtaking 9 hp, this model appear to have the 602cc h2 that produces about 29hp. It is mated to a unique “twist” style manual gear selector which controls a 4-speed manual. The current owner says that the clutch, new top, and new top have been recently installed. Some of the cool features of this car included a full length sliding cloth sunroof, glass windows, interior seats, and exterior door handles. A masterpiece in minimalist engineering, these cars put millions of people on wheels and are well loved around the world. Sunroof/Moonroof

It comes with a service manual and fitted car cover and also the original kentwood am fm cassette player and original option aftermarket robri polished aluminum fender rock chip protector on front and rear fender the original owner from germany took it with him to vancouver when he moved to retire on vancouver island about 30 years and never drove it much … the car i s completely original with no rust and has never been restore which is very rare for these car as they were known to rust easily the paint is steel shows very well with some ship in the front …. But because originals are very very rare and seem to sell much better than restored one ,the actual owner decided not to repaint it even it would look a little bit better without the tiny little rock chip … brake and engine tune up was done a few years back and it past a very strict out of province inspection in alberta when it’s actual owner brought it from british columbia to alberta …. Check out my store for more great unique and classic cars. This is a sweet car. This car is a good runner and has all rebuilt hydraulic suspension that works great. Engine that fires right up and runs good. I have not driven the car very far but it shifts into its gears good and drives around. The car runs really good. This was a car that i would have loved to fully restore but i just decided to sell it as it is so someone else can bring it back to its glory. Ebay had unlimited listing deal same price so what the heck i figured i would list it. I may just finish the interior and make it right. It has the shifter on the column and its a very unique set up. The hydraulic system was all rebuilt and all works great. The controls are on the inside and are easy to use. We had the car repainted and it looks really good nothing is ever a 10 to me. I would say it's a nice 8 for sure. The paint came out great. The paint is the factory matched sea foam metallic green color that i just love. It is the factory color. All of the trim is there and in good shape just need some of the lights and bezels put back in. Has the factory wheels that are in good shape. Engine 4 wheel hydraulic suspension leather the interior i was going to get completely restored and just never got around to it. It has the real leather seats and they are dry and do have some rips and tears in them. The carpets should probably be replaced as well. They didn't make many in this color along with the matching interior. That's why this was one of my personal cars that i just loved and hate to see it leave.
