Ok so here's part 2 of my herd thinning. My other auction was for my citroen , this here was an obsession of mine that held on for a bit too long in my collection. I was on my way on turning this merkur into ford sierra rs500 cosworth (for those gearheads that know what that is). Anyways that didn't happen here, it's been sitting for a year under a cover on my driveway while i finished my other projects in my collection (delorean , maserati , fiat , renault , citroen) and now i know that by the time i get to it and get it done it'll be another 6 months to a year. Don't want it sitting that long anymore & figured someone out there might take it as their priority in line. So it needs tuning (original reason why i stopped driving it)- it's been sitting for quite a while , so it will need going thru completely as it's not running nor have i tried starting it either (cause of battery)- paint , needs paint yes & the trunk lid was from my other merkur parts car i had cause it was in good shape & had no blemishes (that's why its gray & not white)- tires will hold air enough to drive around but i wouldn't recommend signing up to any autocross event just yet-has small windshield leak during heavy rainmileage shows 70423 on a 5 digit odometer so it could be 170k or 70k don't know... I did title it as exempt due to age. I've described the car as best as i can & as best as i can remember. Keep in mind it's a 29 year old car , & it will need work sorting out. Conceived before wwii, the design was to provide the french people with a cheap car in the same image of the ford model t or vw beetle. Using extremely simple and durable designs for a low cost, the 2cv was an ingenious design. The car was so inexpensive to purchase and operate and was capable on and off the road in the rough french countryside. It was describe as a world car like none other and over 9 million 2cvs and their variants were sold from 1948 to 1990. The current owner bought the car in california where it was most likely imported. It features a two tone burgundy and black exterior and a grey interior. Overall the condition of the car is excellent with minimal marks or damage. The glass is intact and the car appears to be fully functioning. While early models came with a 373cc h2 cylinder that pumped out a breathtaking 9 hp, this model appear to have the 602cc h2 that produces about 29hp. It is mated to a unique “twist” style manual gear selector which controls a 4-speed manual. The current owner says that the clutch, new top, and new top have been recently installed. Some of the cool features of this car included a full length sliding cloth sunroof, glass windows, interior seats, and exterior door handles. Hello to all ebayers! I have been with ebay for several years and i want to keep my reputation here 100% positive. I am a private collector, who has endless passion for classic cars and trucks. 90% of the vehicles have been rented out to movies commercials or high-class parties. Right now, i’m liquidating my collection since i’m selling my warehouse. I know that magic feeling when the right quality meets the right price, so i sell my vehicles worldwide at the most reasonable prices. This vehicle has a clear georgia title. V=u1xiquhzkqc&rel=0i was told by the previous owner that this ’63 citroen has 101,299 original miles. This car runs and drives. It is a very original citroen id19 with original engine and transmission. I bought this car from georgia for commercial use. Mechanicalit’s got 4 cylinder engine and manual transmission. The hydraulic system is in one position, i didn’t try to play with the hydraulic system, it runs and drives, but i would guess it needs some maintenance to drive faster. The engine sounds good; the transmission shifts through the gears as it should, the clutch feels good, the breaks need some attention, looks like they are kind of sticky. Exterior this citroen has driver’s quality paint job. The antenna is missing, but i have an extra antenna that i can throw in. Has some surface imperfection. Underneath is nice, no holes. Was always garage-kept. Interiorit has a fresh interior, which is up to the original pattern. Everything is there on the dash, the only thing missing is one of the shifts on the radio. Seats are very nice and clean. The door panels are in great shape. Headliner is wooden, and it is great. This car was always in california, then it went to georgia and was there for six years, and i got it from there from a collector. I have tried my best to describe this vehicle as accurately as i can. People have different opinions and expectations of older vehicles. Remember, this car is from the 1950’s and can have some imperfections that i'm not aware of. This vehicle is advertised on other websites, so i have the right to end the auction early if it gets sold. I'm not a dealer, but just a very passionate collector of classic cars and trucks. A non-refundable $500 deposit is due when the auction ends. Balance is to be paid via bank wire or a certified bank cashier's check. Check will need to clear before the vehicle is released and the title is sent. All non-paying bidders will be reported to ebay. Disclaimerpeople have different opinions and expectations of older vehicles. Remember, this vehicle is from the 1950’s, and even though i’ve tried my best to describe it, it can have some imperfections which i’m not aware of. I’m saying this because i’ve had a bad experience with a ruthless dealer that tried to extort money from me after the car was inspected and delivered!
