This bj8 has a nice everflex convertible top and comes also with the original boot cover and an aftermarket tonneau cover. It has brand new 60 spoke chrome wire wheels with 165 x 15 brand new firestone f-560 radial tires. This healey has a newly rebuilt original servo, new waterpump, new 6 bladed fan and new hoses. It also has a new high quality chrome emergency brake handle. This mkiii bj8 also has new lucas driving lights that have been properly wired through two relays. I see no rust anywhere on the car body. The original frame rails are straight. It has one small rust hole above the tailpipes in the trunk floor. The paint job is several years old but still very respectable. There are a few nick and minor chips in keeping with its age. There is no rust in the fender wells, especially in front of the rear tires. It has ansa mufflers and regular mild steel resonators, but could use a new set o. Seller's comments and description: this car is in excellent overall condition. The car has benefited from a very nice restoration on a great original car. This healey runs and drives excellent. It has great compression across all 6 cylinders (130 to 135 psi) and great oil pressure (40 pounds when warm at idle). The car does go through the gears perfectly with no noises in any of the gears and the overdrive works nicely and the clutch feels great. Furthermore, the overall feel driving the car is very tight and solid. Certainly, this is one of the nicer and more pleasant healeys to drive. Some of the more recent work includes a new stainless steel exhaust system. Also this car has new 60 spoke chrome wire wheels to go with the newer correct hex knock offs. In addition, the carburetors have been fully rebuilt and set up. This healey has a new boot cover and full tonneau cover with the original tonneau support bar. The vehicle has been recently serviced and everything is working as it should. There are healeys that have achieved record prices in this color, but they were not originally this color or the correct color for that year. In addition, this is an original california car, which makes it even more collectible. Also, very desirable is the late production of this 1967 austin healey, as that was the last year for these great cars. This is a gorgeous example that can be taken to a shows or driven anywhere to provide for miles of enjoyment. This austin healey is truly a great investment car.
