Has the hot R-3 cam. Camshaft and rocker arms in good serviceable condition. The top end of the engine was disassembled and inspected. the mufflers were rotted out and useless; the ignition switch is missing as well as the wiring harness and voltage regulator

Production of the K-series began in 1933 and had engine sizes from 200cc all the way up to 800cc. This zundapp k 800 belonged to doc patt late president of the antique motorcycle club of america for many years. As the pics show the the machine had most likely been used as a 60's chopper complete with bright metalflake blue in the spirit of the era. It certainly has the profile with the low slung architecture that would allow "the look". The sidevalve 4 cylinder motor turn freely and has good compression. From the look of it a restoration was started . Sheet metal is sound and rust is not an issue with this machine . This suggests dry storage. There are no additional parts.
Here we have a perfect example of a very well preserved zundapp kk200. Its almost perfect with a few small parts that were changed out over the years which are not correct. Overall this is a great example of a nice kk200 to restore. To start with it retains the original black paint everywhere. The motorcycle is a matching number bike, everything is correct with the numbers. Included in the sale is a copy of the original paperwrk from the zundapp dealer it was sold from in xxxx!

One of 380 zundapp citations imported by berliner motors hasbrouk heights nj. Xxxx -59 re branded zundapp for berliner who owned the import license for to zundapp in the usa but not horex. Telescopic forks and an enlarged motor displacement were as per berliner order to broaden appeal to us market. Oringinaly sold as the horex imperator as a 400cc with earles forks. Only 380 got into us. These are very high quality machines with alloy rims alloy triple tres on the front forks etc. This machine was in long term storage 1st at the now defunct mohawk motors in greenfield ma. And then in the ownership of a long time collector in the north hampton ma area. Includes many of the original tools in tool roll stamped horex has had the external coil retro fit to address coil failure of original spec machines. Internal cond of gas tank appears good.
