The rear axle plate is fixed, so to adjust chain tension I built a tower with a slotted hole to adjust the skateboard wheel to adjust the chain. I used them for the upper and lower rails around the tire then with the last u bend I cut and split it to use under the seat area. 1973 XS 650 with tx long 750cc big bore kit, flat track racing cam pamco ignition, 32mm carbs

Gas tank\inside coated with sealer when I got it and just replaced the gas tank pet-cock and battery. Tires show very little wear.. Has no odometer, or any instruments, so mileage estimated since purchase as less than 3,000. I was told by them that they had gone through the engine, replacing rings, gaskets, etc

The bike has random knicks and scratches (mostly on the frame from engine removal) and obvious pipe bluing, but is overall . Mileage is approximate as speedo and odometer were removed about 6 years ago (had about 12,000 miles on it when removed)

The only work done on engine is oil & filters, gas tank cleaned and sealed. New brake master cylinder and hydraulics where rebuilt, brake shoes and pads replaced also. New drive chain, with front sprocket. The original exhaust was rusty so the header are wrapped in heat tape with new megaphone mufflers installed. Carburetor with new kits, battery and ignition points. Engine runs perfect

This motorcycle was a "shed-find" with 19110 (believed to be original) miles, and has been completely disassembled and refurbished (with the exception of the engine, which ran well before the refurbishment). New tubes, tires, rebuilt brakes front and rear, new Progressive Suspension rear shocks and springs, rebuilt front forks, new wiring harness, battery, rusted hardware replaced (with stainless steel where appropriate), etc. Although it has not been given a full cosmetic restoration, it has been returned to excellent riding condition

The gas tank is badly rusted inside and would have to be cleaned and sealed before it could run, Probably the carbs would need to be cleaned too, but I see no reason why it shouldn't run once that is done. The odometer shows just a little over 8000 miles and I think this is probably correct just judging by the rest of the bike
