The engine is in excellent condition, but the body needs some work. Not pictured is the bike's windshield, which is included. The tires are fine but old; I would replace them. It was purchased it from an avid rider in Georgia who had bought it new; its current mileage is 21182, and it features a rare front swing arm system

Last month I took her in for a complete service, so she has new fluid (except coolant, as I had done this last year), and I also had them rebuild all brake cylinders and the clutch cylinder, as one was sticky so I figured it would be a good idea

Garage kept and babied... 1993 yamaha gts1000, super cool bike that was way, way, way ahead of its time. Bike is a collector and currently listed on the guggenheim classic collector list. The forkless front of the yamaha gts1000 is a game changer. Concept used by yamaha from james parker's simple but ingenious radd front-end concept. This design has an immense amount of benefits including elimination of all of the handling quirks associated with a telescopic fork, remarkable steering capabilities, and virtually no dive when using the front brakes. While the gts1000's prime range is low- and mid-range torque, claimed horsepower is still just under 100. Yamaha also provided a center stand, twin tripmeters, a digital clock and a storage box in the top of the gas tank, as well as a slick holder for a kryptonite-style u-shaped lock under the seat. Anti-drilling and hot-wiring measures have been taken with the ignition as well. This bike was babied... Always serviced, kept inside, original tool kit, added givi hard bags, tank bag, taller tinted windscreen, sponge grips... I've ridden this bike on weekend long trips along the east coast without any problems and in comfort and style... Its and eye turner and conversation starter for sure...

There are a couple of small scratches and imperfections, shown in the photos. When we bought the bike, it had some small scratches on the right side. In the past few years we have started it and ridden it few hundred miles each year
