1967 triumph t120 tt vin: t120 tt du 54178 the tt was a tremendous race-spec bike that was only offered in the united states. They were produced by triumph from 1963 through 1967. At the end of the 1967 model year johnson motors, one of the largest importers of triumphs in us at the time, ordered 200 specially made tt for 1968. They were to have a few modifications from stock, most importantly was the specification of the headstock having the steeper 65-degree rake angle from the 1965 model. These very rare bikes are documented in the book "triumph motorcycles in america" by lindsay brooke. This example was always a race bike, and was never road registered. It was original and complete, making it an excellent candidate for restoration. The result of over a year of work, this tt is 100% correct down to its 1-year only bolt stampings, and unobtanium, original nos tires. Belt Transmission
I have 2 triumph bonneville for sale! One full bike and one basket case, the assembled bike is a 68 with a big bore kit and a joe hunt magneto. It also has new carburetors. I messed with the mag and got the timing out and don't know how to reset it. The basket case is a 67 bonneville also with a big bore kit and hard tail kit along with other custom parts. I've given up on them because i'm not a triumph mechanic, nor do i know anyone that is! Both bikes have clear titles. The 3rd & 4the pictures is what the 67 looked like put together. Its a great deal for bike collectorhappy bidding!
Probably the biggest visual modification in the 'restoration' was that the gas and oil tank were chromed, and several of the bits including the tank emblem were gold plated. The engine and wheel work ( ) was done by BBC Triumph in Ventura. Century Motorcycle in San Pedro spruced it up upon return including new tires 826 Miles
