Seller's Comments and Description: Original, Numbers Matching, 1941 Indian Sport Scout Bonneville model. This bike sat in a barn semi-disassembled for many years, however the engine was left intact. I purchased the bike and put it back together (very mild restoration) as a project with my father. Almost everything is original on the bike except for the items listed below: air cleaner, ammeter, (have original ammeter), horn switch, headlight switch, muffler/tailpipe, wiring kit, front fender-tip garnish molding..... all were purchased from Greer's as original reproduction parts. The gas tanks that came with the bike were for a '41 Chief, so I sold them and purchased a pair of '41 Sport Scout tanks and had some minor work done on them as far as scrapes, dings, and dent repair. Air Cooling System
And offering less than two inches of travel. The indian is not currently running. All export 741's gda101 & up were supplied with blackout lighting as standard.

found them in a box with a bunch of parts and was pleasantly surprised that they match the bike has a moto lamp headlight, beck grips, original speedo, there are ZERO aftermarket parts on this bike as far as i can see its all indian or period items from that era. It seems about 98% complete including generator, Engine cases are original replacement cases but it comes with the matching number cases which are PERFECT. IT is a xxxx indian scout, it rolls, brakes operate, tires even hold air Air Cooling System✔ 3-speed Gearbox
This would make a great display for a man-cave, restaurant or indian motorcycle dealership! Fixing up the bathroom... The price i have on it is what i have in it plus the cost of the magneto. I am not worried about making a huge profit on this bike, so make me an offer.
Seller's Comments and Description: Like a lot of these old race bikes, the generator was removed to save weight I guess and cut down on the possibility of slipping the generator drive chain during a race. As you can see from the pictures, the bike is in great condition. It currently runs on what I call a "sacrificial ignition" system Chain Transmission
