So the past 6 years have been spent making this bike absolutely bullet proof in every way, shape or form so that I would have the peace of mind of knowing, "this bike was done right." And, it has been a labor of love to get it to this condition and no expense has been spared. Just 65 miles into my owning the bike, the motor blew on the freeway 850 Miles✔ Electric Engine

Indian motorcycle sturgis2130 main streetsturgis, south dakotacall/text heath 605-201-9563heath@imsturgis. Comthe nations #1 volume new era indian dealer! Ready to show or go! It appears the restoration was completed some years ago, as some over chroming is evident. The most interesting part of the bike is its serial number. The 500 bonneville machines that indian batch built in 1948. The attached sheet describes the batch. From my photos, i can tell that the approximate range of these 500 machines was cdh3500 to cdh4000. That range is not exact, but it is quite close. What this means is that 1948 chief cdh3577 was originally one of the 500 bonneville chiefs mentioned in the 'contact points', and that it was originally painted prairie green. Only rarely can a machine's original color be determined, if the machine has been repainted. The frame brace in front of the rear fender is the solid steel type, welded-in, which is correct for this frame's serial number. The engine serial number 'h' with horizontal headers and footers is also correct. Of the original 500 machines in this group, only a dozen or so are known to have survived. None of the 500 machines are believed to have been in police service. Call/text heath 605-201-9563 or heath@imsturgis. Com. 26842 Miles
