Just recently I removed and dismantled the carburetors and ran the parts through an ultrasonic cleaning tank. Since then it has had its coolant changed 3 times and its oil changed 5 times in its low (less than 8,000) miles but many (27) year life. The actual original owner had put on the Corbin seat, Lockhart-Phillips quarter-fairing and removed the smog system

It was so sweet, rolling gracefully through the corners - i was hooked! I recall the odometer read 2000. It had no signs of a bold crash or of racing. A long and triumphant 9 years later, working out the old bike kinks with race mechanics, she is an absolute pleasure!! Last ridden fall 2016 with total confidence in the twisties. Mechanically sound. @ 26k miles. Started right up this week –essentially, stock. Ready for the usual upgrades and bling work –never ridden 2-up (and never should be)needs a new steward, a garage and a new blanket of its very own. New fuel lines new speedometer cablecarbs demystified and synchronized throttle unbound/cleaned – snappy! Unbound, rerouted and lubed cablesnew low profile blinkers2008/2009:new m4 pipe! Rejettedunpluggednew vacuum actuated fuel pumpran vent hose to back of bike to protect carburetor/float bowl functionsnew rear brake rotor.

Great gas mileage and will do 65 comfortably. Peppy quick throttle and acceleration from this 250cc 4 stroke engine. Has small dent from a road rock on left front of tank and small black smudge on right rear fender. If you are looking for a great around-town or beginner bike this bike is almost showroom condition
