Tank does hold fuel with no leaks but will need a de rusting/ coat. The bike was sadly left with fuel in the tank (about 2 gallons) and the inside shows lots of cakey style rust. Speedometer now shows 8 miles (short mile test to take it through the gears)

Additional information: available for just two years in the us, the cb900f super sport was made famous by fast freddie spencer in superbike racing. Honda originally did not plan on importing this bike to the us because we already had the flagship cbx. But plenty of american riders still wanted the bigger, badder version of the cb750f – and they were rewarded in ’81 and ’82. They also mentioned that it was readily apparent that the bikes were developed at the same time. For its day, the 900f was a very serious piece of machinery. These were the days before liquid cooling and hiding everything under a plastic shell, and while the cbx had more power, it also had lots more bulk (40lb worth). Cycle called the 1982 model “one of the best performance buys on the market” and said it was a favorite due to its “broad, generous power, and accurate, inspiring handling.” for 1982, the 900fs got graphics matching the cb750f model, a new petcock that incorporated a fuel strainer and new bridgestone tires along with a few other minor upgrades.

For sale is a damn fine motorbike. This is a 1978 honda cb750f supersport with 7600 original miles. This bike runs and rides and i have a clear tn title in hand. The bike is unrestored and in excellent condition but not without minor flaws. The tires are original and i would recommend them be replaced for regular riding. The side covers have some small cracks as documented in the pictures. And the blinker relay is acting up. Besides that the bike is brilliant. Carbs completely cleaned and rebuilt. Valves inspected and adjusted. Everything is in good shape and the machine begs to be ridden. Bike is in memphis, tn usa. This 1976 cb750f is in good original condition. It starts and runs,but leaks at the head gasket. Original 4into1 head pipe with a mac muffler. I have run this bike down the road and it shifts through all gears properly. The brakes work as they should. The rear caliper has a bolt plug not a bleeder. Ask questions and look over photos.
