Here is a really nice repainted original kh with no repo parts. I bought it from marlyn klunder 6 or 7 years ago. Marlyn owned his own motordrome and was known as thunder klunder in the fifties and sixties. This bike was rebuilt in the early seventies with the help of his sponsor , belmont hd in st. Anything he needed was free of charge. He kept the bike on display at the museum in sturges for many years. It starts easy and runs, shifts, stops as it should with no smoke. The muffler is hd but should be the longer one. Feel free to ask questions.

Built during the first 6 months of 1955, the pans (valve covers) only have 6 bolts attaching them to the heads. Mid-year production models have 12 bolts per cover. These are the correct covers, gaskets, and heads, all with 6 bolts. This motorcycle is currently owned by the third owner. Originally sold as a pd bike, this 1955 harley flh was then sold in the san francisco area where it resided for over 30 years. Current owner sought the bike out because of his collecting scheme (born in `55) and he immediately commissioned a full restoration. The restoration is so incredible that it received first in class recognition at the la nationals in 2015. This 1955 harley davidson flh is one of 63 produced and it is ready for the next owner to ride and shine! Carefully review the pictures. Mileage: this motorcycle has 224 miles showing on a working speedometer which was reset after the restoration and engine rebuild. This speedometer is a first-year item. Paint: the paint on this motorcycle is exceptional. It was prepared and painted by a professional during the restoration. Sheet metal: sheet metal is mainly original with the exception of the front fender. A correct front fender, harley original came with the motorcycle and it is now on the motorcycle. Check all of the side lights. They are cleanly polished and correctly labeled by manufacturer. Chrome: all chrome was stripped and completely re-plated by a superior company during restoration. All the chrome was properly buffed to maintain the stamping in the parts. Tires and rims: rims are steel with high polish chrome with chrome spokes. Front tire is avon 500 x 16 newrear tire is avon 500 x 16 newmechanical: this motorcycle is in excellent mechanical condition with a new motor by a professional classic harley davidson builder and restorer in costa mesa ca, mesa cycle. This is a complete nut and bolt restoration from the bottom up. The mechanical is flawless with a simple break in mileage of 250 showing on the speedometer. Title: sold on a clear california titleengine # flh 32 frame # not applicablebelly # match accessories: as seen on the bike and original pictures and build pictures included. Build invoices if requested.
