Bike runs and drives fine - unrestored - I believe the tanks , front fender , frame , fork and most of the hardware is original paint - I found this bike with blown case and missing rear wheel , rear fender and some other misc parts - I came across another bike with correct engine with OEM factory VIN number and paperwork - Had a rear fender painted to match the front and thats about all that was done to it. The frame is a xxxx Harley VL single Loop frame with very little modifications made to get the later model big twin flathead in it. This is not a common UL or ULH big twin flathead engine, it is an extremely rare UA engine which means its an army issued big twin flathead. I wanted to keep as much as the frame stock as poss

Please serious questions only. I can answer all questions. 36-40 cases were known to crack on left side case. This one does have a crack. It has been there for over 20 years and doesn't affect performance of machine at all. To me this bike needs nothing. Any questions feel free to contact me.

Seller's Comments and Description: Matching original 1940 knucklehead cases with nice original VIN. Has original 5 fin cylinders and small port heads, I think one is a '39 and the other is '36/'37. Has on old repair on the left case that looks solid and could be dressed up and probably not noticeable, but thankfully does not affect the VIN like so many broken short rib cases had. I have not tried to start the bike and have left it as I found it. Nice looking bike from back in the day, but not all original. Looks like a very nice later 1940s frame that appears to be uncut!
