· Engine, transmission, and final drive were stripped, media blasted and put back together with new bearings and seals and then coated with Ea. The engine and frame were somewhat complete and in good condition but a great deal of damage and mismatched parts were included and not usable

1957 chang jiang cj750 is very similar to the 1937 r71 bmw. To even the most discerning collectors, it is very hard to tell the difference. The value of cj750 is obviously is that it doesn't cost $125k. This was legally imported into the us in 2004 and was assembled in las vegas by a well known collector. I bought it from him and had it shipped to omaha. There is not one single spec of rust on this beauty and it turns heads every time i take it out on sunny days. It doesn't leak one drop of anything. The paint is thick and lustrous and paint reflects off it like a mirror. I only use german wolfgang wax on it and i never let it sit parked in the sun. Bike has all the legal turn signals, horn, etc and is a full 12v electrical system. This bike also has electric as well as kick start. Hand and foot shift. This is the much less common and more vintage looking flat head engine. Bike has many of the original bmw tags and badges on it and has fooled even bmw collectors at times. Bike is currently registrered and insured in omaha ne. Dmv attached a vin number to it and it is registered as asve 2004 year model. Tires are in good shape as well as all bearings and engine is tight. It's not a drag racer fast, but it does chug along nicely. I just had the entire bike gone through by the best tech in omaha, and after $1500 of work, he states it needs nothing. It even has a new battery. I also have a bolt on passenger seat for it and will include it to the winner.
