I had the front seats recovered and installed a tweed interior panel kit. The engine is running great and I just added a new battery and the voltage regulator was replaced last year. It has a 2 inch drop in the front which gives it the perfect stance

This 1968 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia T34 is finished in its original factory color of Lotus White with Indian Red and has less than 64k miles.  This car was originally sold new to Frankfurt, Germany on October 27, 1967. Originally launched as a celebration of the new Type 3 and sporting arguably some of the best looking bodywork ever fit to a Volkswagen, the Type 34 was expensive even by Volkswagen standards in its day; for the asking price nearly two Beetles could have been purchased. In some ways, that makes it the Phaeton of its day, and similar to the Phaeton, it has a small and devoted crowd that love these cars.  T34s are extremely difficult to find in this condition

This auction is for a 1968 VW Beetle Classic with Bajakit, that has been restored. Here's a little bit of history: I was toldfrom the couple I bought it from they bought the car in Arizona near Californiaand their intent was to completely restore it. He started the tear down, rebuiltthe transmission, had it stripped, then some body work and painting wasdone. After painting the car, it was stored in their garage for 3 years, coveredup. He was never able to find the time to put the bug back together and he put itup for sale. I found it online and bought it as a basket case. I went throughthe parts that came with it, kept and restored what could be restored andordered the rest. The car it self was in good shape for it's age, floor panwas in great shape. The body was not removed from the pan. From what I couldsee, there was some very light rust but no damage or rot. The VW came to me witha rebuilt trans axle and all new bushings. NOTE: After driving this carforapprox 150 miles, I have determined that it pops out of second gear upondeceleration. My research into thisshows it could be a bad clutch gear between2nd and 3rd gear. I have priced the car accordingly to this defect. After that,I stripped and replaced the interior, carpet, headliner. I installed one piecewindow kits, new door panels and hardware. A 1600 dual port came with it, butneeded to be rebuilt. So, I tore it all down and made a few high performance upgrades such as, I replaced all seals, new 88 mm pistons and jugs, .010 -.010 69mm crankshaft, changed the cam to a .476 lift .274 duration 10.

1967-1969 Volkswagen Beetle The Bug's popularity continued unabated with the 1967-1969 Volkswagen Beetle, but when VW tried an offshoot that wasn't a Beetle, the failure of the new model should have been a warning sign for the company. Steady improvements continued in 1967. The 1967 Volkswagen Beetle's engine was upsized to 1493-cc (as on Type 3) and 53 horsepower (1200 and 1300 engines continue outside U. Also new were dual-circuit brakes, backup lights, door lock buttons, and a 12-volt electrical system. Another extensive round of changes occurred for the 1968 Volkswagen Beetle. Bumpers were raised and the overriders eliminated, while larger taillights incorporated the tail, brake, and backup lights into a single unit. A fresh-air ventilation system was added that necessitated an air-intake louver on the cowl, and crash safety was improved with a collapsible steering column. An external fuel filler was a welcome addition, as drivers no longer had to lift the trunklid to gain access to the gas cap. Engines took on emission controls thanks to U. exhaust regulations. And for the first time, those who spurned manual transmissions were treated to the Automatic Stick Shift, which was actually a semi-automatic; the clutch pedal was eliminated, but the driver still had to move the shift lever to choose between the three forward gears. Nineteen sixty-nine brought yet another year of comparatively extensive improvements. The 1969 Volkswagen Beetle sported double-jointed rear axles, which first appeared on the 1968 Automatic Stick Shifts, improving handling and stability. Rear windows on sedans gained a defroster, a locking steering wheel and fuel door were adopted, the trunk release was moved to the glovebox, and a day/night rearview mirror was added. A collapsible steering column and optional Automatic Stick Shift, which eliminated the clutch pedal, were 1968 Volkswagen Beetle additions. 2007 Publications International, Ltd Volkswagen experienced a major failure, however, with the Volkswagen 411, introduced in the summer of 1968. But the Volkswagen 411 was just another blown-up Beetle, quite ugly, and rather overpriced. Volkswagen finally gave up in 1974. Such fumbling led some to conclude that Volkswagen was a one-car company, unwilling -- or unable -- to go beyond the Beetle, let alone replace it. And indeed, by decade's end, Volkswagen had a yardful of dead-end prototypes that mostly advanced the state of the Beetle, not the automotive art. Yet there was no great panic in Wolfsburg, for the Beetle was still confounding the doomsayers by selling better and better each.
