There is some floor pan work needed. Interior and dash have been dismantled. Seats will need to be recovered. Engine and transmission are out of the car. Engine is torn down. Block has been hot tanked and cylinders honed. Head has been rebuilt. It got hard seats and a 3 angle valve grind. The hard seats allow the engine to run on unleaded gasoline. The crank has been polished. All engine work done at strasburg automotive machine in lindon.

This sports car has a removable hard top with a convertible black soft top and black tonneau cover for the cab. This car looks and runs great, is increasing in value in the sports car market which makes it a great investment as well as a great affordable car to own!

Italian styling wrapped in a nimble british package and named after a famous wwii fighter plane. These mark iv series spitfires had arguably some of the best styling cues of the bunch with the flat rear end that was shared with larger triumphs like the stag. The royal blue paint has a sophisticated presence that coordinates nicely with the darker elements like the taunt black roof, fresh weatherstripping, and the spitfire stripe on the rocker panels. Plus, it also makes the bright elements really standout such as the mirror-like bumpers, luggage rack, and the upgrade to minilite-style wheels. The spitfire was always about representing the plucky nature of a british sports car. That meant an interior built for function, but in true english fashion, form-fitting style was still a priority. This nature is at its best in this roadster because nearly everything was rebuilt or replaced during its full restoration. That's why the black vinyl on the seats looks the same as when this car got off the boat in 1972. Plus, there were some nice upgrades added like the auxiliary power plugs, sunpro volts gauge, and the am/fm/cd stereo with remote and usb input. If the weather does turn gray and wet, then just remove the new convertible boot cover and raise the black vinyl top with one hand. The 1. 3-liter motor in the spitfire is certainly small, but there's much more to this story. This lightweight powerplant has been upgraded with a weber carb and cannon intake. So this is little spitfire knows how to get aggressive without losing its sprightly charm. And his eagerness is exactly how these became so popular. The car barely tipped the scales but had a level of rigidity not seen on other roadsters of its day. These were built on a solid backbone chassis with lightweight metal partial unibody. This spitfire almost seems too good to be true, but we have original warranty card, owner's manual, restoration photos, and build receipts that prove the amount of sweat equity (and money) someone invested. I have a 1972 triumph spitfire that has been a fun car to have. I have done a lot of work to it and hired a mechanic for the more advanced fixes such as the head gasket. New: fuel pump, head gasket, water pump, radiator, temperature gauge fuel gauge, tires, ignition coil, performance cooling fan, car cover their are a few more things that need to be done such as a paint job, sound system (i have infinity kappa component speakers i can include in the sale), and the interior needs a little work.. This vehicle was found under a tarp and brought back to life. It drove the entire distance from az to mt. It has had new brakes, shocks, and suspension, and electric fuel pump. It has been a reliable vehicle for many years. It comes with spare parts and hard/soft tops are virtually new. The compression is great and can reach up to 41 mpg. The engine is a 1300 cc with a 4 speed manual transmission. The speedometer was replaced and the miles were reset (total miles are unknown). The tachometer revs 1300 rpms over what it should be and the speedometer is 5 mph slower. The batteries and tires are in good condition. The bottoms of the seats have been redone. Previous owner had it for 5 years and did what he could to keep it a solid driver. Comes with hard top, rocket panels, car cover, assorted carpet parts, and extra rear fender. Tachometer
