This car in its restoration had all new rubber put in and new headliner, seats re done and even the trunk was redone all new tires, brakes, drums, radio rebuilt front end rebuilt, rear rebuilt.. All the car needs to finish it up is the head light rims re-done and a new windshield gasket that will be included with the sale of this car. I would place this car at between a solid 2 condition car

1957 Studebaker Silverhawk -NO RESERVE I Had To Relist The Car- It's A No Reserve Auction So There Is No Buy It Now This was one of my dads favorite cars but the time has come for it to have a new home BODY: Overall the exterior is in good condition-there is a noticable scratch on the drivers door-The grill work and bumpers are in great shape-some of the window trim is scratched up-Older repaint and color change but still looks good-does have some scratches and chips. There is some rust in the front floor pans but nothing serious-the worst place is in the trunk where the drivers side body mount is, see photos Engine: 289 V-8 4bl-Engine was replaced out of a 1962 GT . The hawk was plenty sporty for dad, and had room for the kids in back. This car was lovingly restored to a high standard. Many photographs document the thorough body restoration - with all fenders removed. Corrosion - where it was found - was cut out completely, with new metal welded in or replacement panels installed. The result is a well-finished and rock-solid classic that drops jaws wherever it goes. Few people know exactly what it is, or when it was built, but they do know it is very cool! A $100,000 mercedes will often go by with barely a notice... But no one seems to miss the silver hawk! And that is also practical to drive and enjoy! Quality and attention abound. Paint, body, and interior work are very impressive. The bright-work is a convincing combination of very good re-chromed and polished trim, with some pieces exhibiting a good finish with the normal patina of age and use. Few engine compartments of this vintage are as impressively clean and authentic. Location: evans, ga ... The 1957 studebaker silver hawk is already considered one of the best 1950s designs... And future appreciation seems assured. While 1950s corvette's and luxury coupes are already out of reach - the silver hawk is one of the best buys of the era. To see all the images: there are over 100 images that will show the car in great detail. And then scroll gently all the way to the bottom (be sure to allow time for all the images to load). We also give a very detailed description of the car... Not just a couple sentences like many listings. Everything we tested during the photo-session - all lights, directionals, horn, heater, etc. - worked great... The windows roll up and down with exceptional ease due to nicely restored gearing and tracks. For the first time, i noticed the beginning of some water pump noise during the photo-session test drive. The 79,683 mileage indicated is believed to be original, but cannot be determined as accurate with certainty due to the odometer's design limitations.
