1995 porsche 968 convertible1995 porsche 968 midnight blue metallic with tan leather interior. 89800 miles. 6 speed transmission. Approximately 31. 5 mpg highway. Car is in fair to good condition overall. The paint is good and presentable. The top has some repaired holes and the fabric is weakening in this original top. Top is rain tight and usable. The mechanism works well having recently been repaired. Interior is fair to good. Seat bottoms have a split in the seam although not this or any other issue prevents the car from being driven. The car has an aftermarket am/fm/cd radio. All lights and electrics work other than a sporadic cruise control. The drive train works fine. The engine uses no oil and has full power. Clutch and timing and balancing belt and water pump changed around 70k miles. Many other items changed over the years. Clear 3m protective film has been applied before and after rear wheels and as door edge. These could be removed. This model is larger than the boxter which followed the 968. Therefore there is considerable usable space behind the seats for small packages and groceries. There had been a cupboard in the back seat area but it has been removed creating even more space there. The trunk also is usable. It can hold two small suitcases plus loose items or two full size golf bags with clubs and shoes. The two panels between the trunk and the passenger compartment can be folded down for longer items. The car carries an inflatable spare with an after-market inflator and original tool kit. There is a blue tonneau cover. The motor is a large 4 cylinder delivering around 235 horsepower. Some think that the 968 has the best sounding motor and (stainless steel) exhaust of any porsche. Regardless this is a fun car to drive. With the transmission in the rear and motor in the front the 968 has superior weight distribution and oversteer is not an issue compared to the rear engine modelsvehicle is located in santa fe nm. Everything works as it should, includeing power convertible top, electric windows are very fast, ac is ice cold and heat also works exceptionally well. Cruise control works as it should. Very rare optional 17 inch cup style wheels from the factory, with brand new tires on the car less than 200 miles on them. Engine runs great and pulls very strong thru out the rev band to redline. Great oil pressure, new plugs, recent oil change and new air filter and new wiper blades. Interior is in good shape with the only non stock item a replacement radio, which sounds and works perfect. All speakers in stock locations with no cuts at any location in the interior. Exterior paint looks fantastic and shows that it was a garaged car its entire life. One small cut in rear bumper that was repaired, but still shows. Look at picture of the drivers side rear bumper picture. Other than that no real dents or nicks in paint. Doors and hood and truck look fantastic and open and close perfectly. Top is in overall good shape and appears to be a very well cared for original top, with 2 lock tools supplied for ease of unlocking top before operating.
