I purchased the 928 from the second owner who had it since 1992 with 32,000 miles he loved and took extremely great care of the 928 and it shows in the way it drives and looks. Everything works as it should minus the air conditioning the dash and seats are perfect with no cracks or tears. The 928 has aged gracefully as it has become a classic in its own right. The sheetmetal has been well cared for over the last 30+ years, and so the coupe retains its distinctive shape that was on so many bedroom walls growing up. And originality on these cars still comes with plenty of desirability. Typical porsche focus on the driver dominates the interior, with comfortable blue leather buckets and a perfect driving position. The carpets, door panels, and dash are all in coordinating blue hues. Under the hood is the original 5. 0-liter v8. This motor had more displacement than many previous years, and it pumped out a very respectable 288 horsepower. The transxale setup makes for a wonderfully balanced feeling on the road, and that's exactly where this car belongs. The market is catching up to the 928, but there's still time to get into a survivor like this one. For a short period, the porsche mystique and performance is within reach for those of us with modest budgets. 1987 porsche 928 s4no reserve auction. 120,800km / 75,000miles / canadian market original delivery. Tang of vancouver bc canada by mcl motors vancouver, see photo dealer stamped entry in original owners manual. Car was delivered for the canadian market, thus the odometer is in kilometers / km, all service entries in maintenance manual are in km. Documented at 59,00 km / 36,660 miles the car was bonded over to the u. And sold to the new owner, a mr nicholson. He then had the car serviced at weissach motors, a reputable porsche dealer in vancouver canada. He eventually hired urbano motors in bellingham washington state. Weissach motors replaced the timing belt, water pump at 82,326 km. The service sticker is on the air filter cover under the hood. Urbano shipped the car to the previous owner in port huron, mi. It was urbano motors who then listed it on e-bay. It was then purchased by the previous owner at 55,101 miles on 4. 21. 2007. The new owner the 928 sold it to me off of e-bay in feb of 2012 with 56,927 miles. The original paint is pristine. I personally paint metered the car and it is consistent thruout all panels. I can show the new owner photos of the paint meter reading. I am very meticulous and can not see any evidence that this car was repainted. The paint is flawless and appears to be original. It will not disappoint. The previous owner was retired from ford research and engineering and did extensive work, of which i have a spreadsheet documenting his meticulous entries of service he performed. Body seals are perfect and doors shut like a bank vault. Interior is perfect with absolutely no rips in the seats and a perfect pod and dash with no cracks. The car has been converted to r-134a refrigerant by the dealer. I have the original leather wrapped steering wheel that comes with the car. All windows, sunroof, electric locks work perfect. The seat control switches need replacement, i just did not get around to doing this. The car is quiet and extremely tight. No funny noises, runs strong and smooth with no shimmy at high speeds or braking. This car has a sweet spot on anything over 90mph is just wants to pull. This car was designed as a gt high speed cruiser, where it really excels in the 100 to 120+mph range. All tools intact, and mini factory spare tire included, all factory books, and original stamped owners / maintenance manuals. I have all receipts from mine, and previous owner. Previous owner only put 2,000 miles on the 928, and spent most of his time documenting and working on it. Currently the odometer reads 120,800km which equates to 75,000 miles. During my ownership i have performed / documented the following. 15 mar 2012 93,450km 15w50 mobil 1 synthetic oil change. 30 may 2012 96,488km replaced fuel pump relay duralast # 1920816 june 2012 97,188km oil change24 jun 2012 97,188km replaced rotors / 4 sets of pads / 4 sensors. 3 jul 2012 97,290km a/c re-charge / check timing belt tension w/in specs. 1 sept 2012 98,812km kl-21 fuel filter replaced. 6 sept 2012 99,787km oil change performed / replaced fuel lines from 928rus. 15 sept 2012 99,902km replaced 8 bosch super plus #7900 spark plugs / and air filter k&n hi-flow15 sept 2012 99,902km released flex plate tension back to specs / installed pklamp from 928rus2 dec 2012 102,812km check flex plate tension. Had not moved, in place no adjustment needed. 5 jan 2013 103,024km replaced trans cooler lines (2). 19 jan 2013 103,024km replaced power steering hose res. The sound accentuates the v-8 with very little cabin noise. I have had close to 9 different porsches, currently a 996 gt2, 996 gt3, a 996 aero kit car as my daily driver, and this pristine 928. The 928 has it's own personality and is actually one of my favorite cars. The car can be safely stored upon purchase, pending pickup. The new owner will not be disappointed with this vehicle. Instant growing collectible. Selling due to making room for new addition. I am more than happy to discuss more pictures, details, and additional info needed. I have for sale a very nice 1986 porsche 928 s with only 25,925 miles. I am the second owner as i purchased car from the original owner who is a longtime friend of mine. Car has been well cared for and garaged it's entire life. I did the timing belt, water pump service using only the best parts and also added the pktensioner, will include receipts and my service log. I also replaced the diaphragms in the dash for vent actuators. Ac and heat work great as does everything else. I installed panamera wheels with brand new tires and also have the original manhole wheels and tires. I installed new brake pads all around last summer. Car has the rare and desirable 5 speed manual transmission, 32 valve double overhead cam engine. Power sunroof works flawlessly too. Heated power leather seats with working seat heaters. Seats operate as they should. Black leather interior is also near mint condition with no rips and no crack in seats or dash. Paint is in very good condition with some small chips on hood and scratches on passenger side that were touched up. Paint is original and car was never in an accident. Many years back the hall-effect pickup for the speedometer failed and ny dmv reported a mileage discrepancy as a result because registered mileage differed from odometer reading. I replaced the hall unit as soon as i got car and speedometer and odometer work perfectly. Custom fit car cover too, not one of those one size fits all. I don't have the original radio but i am trying to see if original owner can find it as it was replaced many years ago with an aftermarket stereo and amplifier. Car still has original tool kit and spare wheel/tire in excellent condition. This car can be driven anywhere with no worries. No rattles or shakes, drives like a brand new car and handles incredibly.
