Vin# 9126001547miles:67304one year only car and one of 500 sunroof cars! Very rare original color of copper brown metallic. Only 67,000 miles since new, this car has always been pampered and carefully maintained. All original interior with the exception of the front seats which have been redone. Very clean with no smells or major flaws whatsoever. Dash and gauges look like new. Sunroof works perfect and does not leak. Stereo upgraded to a later model blaupunkt cd player and boston acoustics speakers. One repaint on the exterior that was done very professionally about 20 years ago. It still shines great, but has many small flaws due to age and use. Most notable flaws are front end rock chip road rash and some thin spots on the hood from over buffing. The door jambs, under hood, and engine compartment still retain original paint and they did a good job of masking it off with minimal overspray. This car has absolutely no rust or rust repairs, it was always a california and arizona car. No evidence of any body damage, all of the panels are laser straight with excellent gaps throughout. Runs great and does not smoke or leak. All original drivetrain. 5 speed transmission shifts flawlessly. The forged fuch rims were professionally restored and are flawless…michelin tires are near new. Spare has never been used. Has tool kit, original owners manual, and window sticker from carlsen porsche audi in palo alto for delivery in culver city, ca. This porsche 912e was a one year only model. Produced to fill the entry-level position left vacant by the discontinuation of the 914, while the new 924, the 914's official replacement , was being finalized and put into production. Once in production, the 912e shared the "g-series" bodywork with the 911s but was powered by an 86 bhp 2. 0, refined with a new bosch l-jetronic (air flow controlled) fuel injection system. During the production run of may 1975 to july 1976, porsche manufactured only 2099 of the 912e, targeted to the us market. This particular car is serial number 2047 of 2099 manufactured. Late-series build includes ’77 911 chassis components such as adjustable rear spring-plates. The car has very low mileage - 94k total miles. (speedo indicates 66k. Service records show it was replaced at 28k.) comes with decades of records & receipts. Original engine and transmission. All tools and manuals. Even the original radio is included! Sunroof functions well, does not leak. Upgraded sony am/fm/cd with usb sounds great. Original bosch l-jet fuel-injection, smog-legal for ca. (original thermal reactors removed long-ago to avoid premature engine wear.) factory a/c works well. Upgraded to rotary compressor, new barrier hoses, etc. Electric fans added to condenser to improve air-flow while idling in traffic. External oil-cooler added for increased engine longevity. Oil temperature thermostat controls flow to the cooler which has a fan that is also thermostatically controlled. Unlike most 912e engines, oil temps remain in check regardless of load, a/c and high ambient temps. Original silver paint is shiny and the black interior is in very good condition, no splits/rips/tears. Original cloth seat inserts are cool and comfortable. Coco mats protect original carpet underneath. Reliable and economical. Fuel economy approaches 30 mpg. With the 20-gallon fuel tank, driving range approaches 600 miles! Great road/freeway-flyer. Simple to maintain 4-cylinder type-iv motor (similar to porsche 914). Pertronix pointless ignition. Original spare tire, tool-kit. New windshield in flawless condition. AM/FM✔ Air Conditioning✔ Sunroof/Moonroof
