1948 olds rocket for sale is my 1949 olds 88. Her name is "ghost story". Therear doors are still fully functional, just no external handles. Theinterior is good for a car her age with the headliner needing themost attention. The passenger window has some cracks. She is relatively rust free for a car this age, withonly minor bubbling on one rear fender lip. All lights and turnsignals work. The brakes and steering are manual and work well. Now for the good stuff. Under the hoodis a buick 455. It is a 10. 5 to 1 compression with flat top pistonswith valve reliefs. It has a ta performance 312 cam. This is toppedoff with an offenhauser 2x4 aluminum intake from ta. The intake istopped off with 2 edelbrock 600 cfm carbs. The carbs are fed with ajegs hp electric fuel pump. All that engine is tied to a th400 trannywith a jegs 3200 converter. The rear end gears are 3. 64 to 1 and isnon posi. Drive train has about 2500 miles on the rebuild. It is a tiresmoking devil. Georgia does not issue titles for older cars. It will be sold with abill of sale, and the current registration. I'm listing this olds for my 74 year old friend who has the knowledge and love of cars to makesure things are done right. The olds is located in blue ridge georgia. 30513.

This oldsmobile has had many impressive body modifications. Removal of emblems on hood and trunk, removal of side trim and rocker moldings. Frenched headlights and shaved door handles with remote entry giving it a new age feel with a sleek design. Power window and custom built knobs on the dash. Equipped with vintage air, heat, defrost, and a/c unit. Electric wipers with delay. All new tinted glass, weather stripping, and gaskets. Bumpers, guards, and grill have been re-chromed. The vehicle has been finished with a custom mix silver and black basecoat urethane with ppg micro sequins lightly dusted in clear coat. The upholstery has been customized in a black vinyl tuck and roll pattern with black and silver door panels and a gray and black carpet that includes a carpeted and upholstered trunk area. The front end is a rebuilt 1979 chevrolet 305 with eldobroch manifold and carburetor with a chrome air cleaner. It has a mild hydraulic cam, new dual exhaust, and custom radiator.
