The nsu spider is an automobile which was produced by nsu motorenwerke ag from 1964 to 1967. This was the first production car in the world to be powered by the wankel rotary engine. This car what thought to be unremarkable. It is a milestone car. It first appeared in 1964 at the frankfurt motor show it is very distinguishable by the grill at the front. The engine is rear mounted and to keep weight distribution even. The radiator and fuel tank are located in the front. These cars were either painted red or white. Only 2,375 were built in the three years of production. This car hails from southern california and has been stored inside for over 30 years. It is in time-capsule condition underneath with absolutely no visible rust throughout. The car is in incredible, original condition throughout and appears completely original. It features only 39,248 miles from new. It needs a complete restoration, and hasn’t been started for eons but parts are accessible. Nsu license and brand was purchased by vw back in the 70’s, so there are parts support available through several clubs and specialty vendors. This micro car is in amazing condition and deserves to be with a museum or collection. A few parts as depicted by the photos are missing such as a tachometer, tail light lens, and a radio. Comoptions:description:1972 nsu prinz 4l in excellent original condition with a genuine 16,565 miles from new. Car has been mostly unused for several years and is not currently registered for use on us roads. I have owned this prinz since 1987 when i bought it (in the uk) from the granddaughter of it's original elderly owner, who had recently passed away. I was an active member of the british nsu owners club for some years. The car had been well known to the club before i bought it and i continued to use it for club events and shows around england and scotland. I moved to the us some years ago and had it shipped over here intending to get it registered for use in the us and to find a us nsu owners club. However, family and professional obligations took precedence and this has not happened. Now i am heading back to the uk and it looks as though shipping it back with me will be prohibitively expensive so i am reluctantly offering it for sale. It has not been run much during it's time here, although has had the occasional outing on private roads from time to time. It had new brake lines and all fluids replaced very few miles ago and for it's age is in terrific condition with gleaming paint and bright work...

Nsu sport prinz[edit]nsu sport prinz1964 nsu sport to 1968 [9] 20,831 produced [9]body and chassisbody style2-door couperelatednsu cc i2 [9] 598 cc i2 [9]the sport prinz was a 2-seater sports coupe variant.[9] it was designed by franco scaglione at bertone studios in turin. 20,831 were manufactured between 1958 and 1968.[9] the first 250 bodies were built by bertone in turin. The rest were built inneckarsulm at a company called drautz which was later bought by nsu. The sport prinz initially was powered by the 583 cc (35. 6 cu in) prinz 50 straight-2 engine but a maximum speed of 160 km/h (99 mph) was nevertheless claimed. From late 1962 a 598 cc (36. 5 cu in) engine was fitted.[9]the nsu spider was a wankel rotary powered 2-seater roadster based on the sport prinz platform.[9].
