Purchased by the current owner (an international morris minor enthusiast) in 2001 with only 44,000 original miles. This morris was delivered new to california and has been sparingly driven and garage kept here ever since. A rust free, currently registered and titled, california car. The car comes complete with its heritage certificate. From cold this morris minor starts right up with a pull of the choke and as it comes to temp it settles into a nice smooth idle. The steering is light and responsive, and the gearbox feels excellent as to be expected of a car with only 46,000 original miles. The clutch pedal has a low pick up point which indicates a healthy clutch. The brake pedal feels great, and the handbrake holds very well. The suspension is dry and some bushes creak a little as is common with these cars, however this morris is very mechanically sound. The exterior is original paint - old english white with red pin stripping. The paint is in decent condition considering its age. There are small blemishes to the paint and overall, i would give it a 7 out of 10. It certainly could be buffed out to a better shine if desired. The chrome trim and hardware is complete and in good condition. The front and rear chrome bumpers are undamaged and look great. This car shows no sign of ever being in any kind of accident, front or rear. All glass is clear without chipping or cracking to be seen, however there are a few small scratches to the glass on the drivers’ side window. The rubber seals are in good condition and though they are quite hard they are not crumbling to pieces, and they are all in place. The exterior electrical is all functional from headlight to tail light. The indicators self-cancel and the dip switch is also working. The convertible top has been replaced once and easily goes up and down as it should. The top is ripped in a few places, and could use a patch job by a good upholsterer. The boot cover is also original and included in the sale, however we could not seem to fit it correctly as some of the snaps may have been changed when the top was replaced. This morris sits upon 4 good michelin tires with “m” crested hub caps. The trunk space is tidy and complete with spare tire and tool roll. The interior is also original and cherokee red in color. The front seats are in excellent condition and the back seat is also very nice despite one small hole that looks to have been the unfortunate result of a cigarette burn – how we miss the 60’s with all that smoking! The seats fold forward easily and the red carpeting throughout is very nice and tidy. The drivers and passengers side floors have morris minor crested black mats that suit the car perfectly. Even the sun visors are in good shape and the metal dash is excellent. The storage under the glovebox compartments could use recovering but that’s just being nitpicky. The speedo and fuel gauge work properly and all interior electrical is functional from the windshield wipers to the push horn. This morris minor in my opinion is bmc at its best and i only wish there were more of these british classics around. There are probably very few moggy’s like this left. As always, i would advise inspecting the car in person if at all possible, it will not disappoint. This Morris Minor 1000 has a really remarkable exterior blue color, in unrestored condition, and is really remarkable looking. Interior color is a slightly paler blue to the outside paint and very nice looking. It is an unusual nice looking color and I wouldn't want to repaint it

It only takes a quick glance to know this 1959 morris minor is not just some classic british economy car. The wild paint and wheels are just a hint at the beastly 400 hp turbo motor, five-speed, and custom sports suspension that lies underneath. In fact, many british car fans might be keen on seeing a minor at their favorite car show. But don't let them get to close, or else this wild child might make them spill their sleepy time tea. After all, the red on this one is brighter than on the union jack. Plus, no factory minor had the need for a custom front splitter to vent an intercooler, and the wide billet specialties wheels outshine the crown jewels. But all kidding on the british empire aside, any nationality who loves cars will respect the quality of the bodywork. This is a cool interpretation on how to take a classic economy car and make it into a show-stopping custom build. The custom work continues on the inside with bucket seats out of a honda prelude, and it utilizes gray cloth on the doors and carpets to match. This interior has some nice features like power windows and an r-134a air conditioning that doesn't take much to keep this small cabin nice and cool. Also, it doesn't take much power for the pioneer am/fm/cd stereo to fill this car with sound, but that didn't stop them from installing a thumpin' system with a powered subwoofer mounted on the rear parcel shelf. The driver gets a nice three-spoke grant steering wheel with a wood rim that also matches the dash panel. Beyond that is a full set of autometer gauges, which is another clear indication of the beast that lurks under the hood. There's nothing from britain left in this engine bay except the build plate. The motor was rebuilt 3,000 miles ago to add a mazda rx-7 intercooler, aem fuel management system, and howling custom exhaust. This includes a five-speed manual transmission from an fd mazda rx-7 and a stout ford 9-inch rear end running a versatile 3. 73 gear.
