Wheelbase: 94"Following World War II, the first British sports car to capture American hearts was the MG TC. Its success inspiredthe MG TD, which appeared in 1949 and was built specifically for the U. market, with improved handlingcharacteristics and left-hand-drive. The TF, unveiled in late 1953, was criticized by MG purists for its repositionedheadlamps, new bonnet design, sloping hood line and raked radiator. However, many more welcomed the newTF, which sold nearly 10,000 units during its two-year production run. When introduced, the MG TF was powered by the same XPAG 1,250 cc engine that had driven the TD. Despite its slightly dated design, the American presswelcomed the MG TF. In its December 1954 edition, Road & Track stated, “After last year’s test we asked if the TFwas really that good. Tuneau cover, leather covered steering wheel, really complement the flowing lines of thishandsome automobile. As well, the TF rides on a set of chromed wire wheels with chrome hubcaps, and newtires. This handsome 1954 MG TF Roadster truly embodies the essence of MG. It will certainly provide its nextenthusiastic owner with an enjoyable break from the mundane with a solid dose of pure, elemental motoringenjoyment. The goal of the restoration was to blend racing and nostalgic themes, while adding or improving safety, serviceability and drive-ability features. In keeping with the Sebring theme the radio is deleted; however the antenna is installed for future radio installation if desired. I like to describe this car as a new 1957 MGA roadster.

With a total production of only 9,602, it's also one of the rarest, compared to the earlier td production of close to 30,000. This tf has been repainted the original red color it came from the factory with. I'd describe it as a typical ten-foot paint job. Nice and shiny, with minor flaws only visible up close. The upholstery is all near-new, as shown in the pictures. The top is new, and the side curtains are near new, in excellent shape, with no yellowing of the windows. A tonneau cover is included, also in great shape. The carburetors and fuel pump are new, and the front suspension was recently rebuilt. The tires are in excellent shape, the transmission shifts and sounds perfect. The engine starts up easily, and also runs great.
