Mg a division of the british motor corporation produced just over 225,000 midgets from 1961 through 1980. The earliest versions or the mk i was essentially a slightly more expensive version of the austin healey sprite using a lot of the same components including engines all the way through the end of production. Over the years the engines grew from the 948cc with the mk i and ended up with the 1500 cc out of the triumph spitfire with the mk iv's. These engines produced a whopping 65 hp, they were capable of 100 mph speeds. These cars became iconic over time in the vintage race scenes, especially in the uk. The mg midget challenge is a series dedicated to the midget. The 1976 midget offered here is a very solid example. The paint shows some patina, but yet represents well. The interior appears to have newly reupholstered seats and a new vinyl top. The midget comes with a spare tire and a upgraded sound system with a sony cd player and explod speakers. The midget also has a tonneau cover and luggage rack. It rides on 13 inch tires that are mounted to factory steel wheels with beauty rings. Makes every effort to represent each vehicle accurately and with integrity. We also welcome third party inspections when necessary. 1969 mgc roadster - this excellent condition survivor has the standard transmission with overdrive, and tonneau cover in addition to the convertible top. the brake master cylinder was recently changed, and the brake boosters were rebuilt and reinstalled after being off the car for a number of years. the car has been in dry storage for the last 15 years, and is driven occasionally on sunny summer days. the car was a black plate california car, but now wears crater lake plates from oregon. the odometer reads a bit over 82k miles, and the condition suggests this is original mileage, but that cannot be verified. After a brief warm-up, the six cylinder engine just purrs. fun to drive as is, or one of the finest examples for someone who wants to do a complete restoration.

We'll talk about the added power in a moment, but first, let's appreciate this rare british treat – production numbers are reported as little as under 4,600 roadsters ever built. So, the rear luggage rack and larger 15-inch wire wheels just seem to be a better fit for a true weekend getaway machine. Not much had to be changed from the mgb for the mgc interior. After all, the feeling from the driver's bucket seat is sung but comfortable. And everything is easily reached from the heat/defrost control, to the black folding roof. That's why there has been a lot of time invested in this powerplant. The whole engine bay is a tidy setup with fresh components, and there's a clean look to the twin su carburetors. With such a nice restoration, someone else will get to enjoy this hard work. This car has been a labor of love, and we have a ton of receipts and the owner's manual to prove it.
