Besides the roof, the roadsters body was altered from the fixed-top VT model in a number of ways. The front bumper was revised, replacing the quad rectangular driving lamps with two rectangular and two round units. The VT Roadster remains one of the most sought after models of the Diablo collection. The engine lid was changed substantially in order to vent properly when the roof panel was covering it. The roadster also featured revised 17 inch wheels. The air intakes on top/sides were made larger than the coupe Diablos. In 1998 the wheels have been updated to 18 inches, and the engine power raised to 530 HP by adding the variable valve timing system. Top speed specification was raised to 335 km/h (208 mph). This particular Diablo, one of only 325 ever produced, is in showroom condition.

The odometer is in km and reads approx 30500km or about 19000 miles. The car had previous damage on the left side door area, this happened in 1999 when the car had 5000 miles and was issued a salvage title. However when i bought the car i was given title with no branding and i have a clean illinois title to my name. Pictures were taken this summer, on a perfect day with a great camera so the car looks new but in reality it has a normal wear and tear for its age. The roadster is very limited production and its destined to be highly collectible. The roadster is autographed by mario andretti, i was told andretti and dennis rodman both owned the car, but then i heard mario drove it and autographed the car but didn't really own it. Not sure which is the truth but it does have that celebrity history attached to it. Sold as where is with no warranties of any kind.

Showing 44,300 miles or 71,295 km, it features the original mid-mounted 492hp v12 engine, 5-speed manual transmission, viscous traction “vt” all wheel drive system. In addition, it is equipped with hydraulic front lift system for ramp clearance, an aftermarket exhaust system, factory installed rear wing, alpine premium cd sound system, brembo 4 piston braking system and the 3 piece oz racing ultra-light aluminum wheels. A complete engine out inspection with heads off, including engine valves adjustment, fluids, gaskets and seals and new clutch system was performed less than 800 miles or eight months ago. The owner’s manual, tools, remotes and a car cover are included and shown in the pictures. This vt model features what was to become a lamborghini staple on its' flagship car, all-wheel drive. Introduced in 1993 the all wheel drive system was adapted from the lm002 and allows up to 25% of the car's power to be sent to the front wheels improving handling significantly over the rear drive version. The diablo was produced between 1990 and 2001. During this period, lamborghini introduced several variations of the diablo concept, the first being the diablo vt (visco traction), which featured an all-wheel drive. The lamborghini bosses had wished for a maximum speed of at least 320 kph, and the engineers made this wish come true: with a top speed of 325 kph and an acceleration from 0-100 in 4. 5 seconds the diablo claimed the pole position in the super sports cars segment! The car has also been featured in a number of magazines and calendars. The car had a slight oil leak that required to pull the engine to replace that o ring. At that time a full service was completed. All new o rings and gaskets including head gaskets, clutch replaced, starter serviced, water pump replaced, slave cylinder replaced. Every service that would require engine removal was done while the engine was out, No expense was spared and it all once the engine is out. Carfax Shows 1 accident, The passenger door was damaged when a tree limb fell and the door was a complete full NOS replacement with no repairs & it was done by Lamborghini. Exhaust was custom made for car along with the rear grill. Exhaust still has the primary cats and resonators. The stereo is updated alpine to use CD and the amplifier and speakers are Polk Audio Studio Reference. All modifications to the car have been bolt on and can easily be returned to stock if preferred. All of the original audio equipment is available . The front windshield is in excellent condition. The paint is in great shape and condition. No dings are visible on this vehicle. This vehicle comes with a new set of tires. The interior was well maintained and is extra clean. The exterior was well maintained and is extra clean. The engine is functioning properly and has no issues. This vehicle has no previous collision damage. The transmission shifts very smoothly. The brakes are in great condition.
