1946 willys jeep price reduced , original motor, pulled the head off cleaned up 1 cylinder and got it running. :), 12 volt conversion, transmission works, transfer case works. Was in the middle of axle swap, old axles were broken and needed replacing, the front axle is installed and the rear axle got stolen from the pick and pull yard so no rear axle. Added power steering gearbox, new gages,new carb, floorboard reinforced. Still a project to finish up. Parts i have is new exhaust, steering wheel, brake booster, other misc parts. Parts i don't have, seats, fuel cell, rear axle, other small odds and ends.

Relisting a 1946 cj2a willys jeep. The original thought was to make it look roughly like a wwll general's jeep. The vehicle has had rust cut out and clean steel welded in. The repairs are functional repairs. This was never intended to be a 100% restoration, just something for around the farm, and for parades. The jeep had a tow bar in a past life, so we left it on. The underhood pictures show the old paint, during rebuilding. It has all been painted to match the outside. The battery is new, the gas tank is new. The 4 non-directional tires are new. The tail lights are trailer type. It's a neat jeep that needs some finishing. The engine will run, but shuts down almost immediatly, as the timing needs to be reset. The problem is the distributor body is cast iron,and so is the block. The distributor won't turn easily to adjust the timing to keep it running. So i've only had it running for short periods at a time. I am military-disabled, and cannot do much more on the engine,or crawl around under it as the repair may require. With this in mind the cost of this mostly preserved piece of history is low. To buy a beater and rebuild it to this point would cost way more than the opening bid. The seats are good,it gets a ton of attention even on a trailer... More kids have been photographed in this jeep. This can and should be brought back to life... The hard part of getting replacement panels, welding them in,and bodywork to make this an interesting eyecatcher is done, there is a functioning general patton type siren. The vehicle comes with a clear "bill of sale". Oh yeah, the bb-gun in the windshield rifle rack, is not included. And the m151a2 in the background is in another auction. But not my '45 chevy. The flat head engine has a later Kaiser Super Sonic head and both axles are off a later Jeep with 4.27:1 ring gear instead of the original 5.38:1. The paint is rough and the body has had some work including both floor pans replaced. The brakes have been rebuilt and the carburetor is a later Solex type

This jeep is in great shape. It runs good and is very reliable. It was restored with new paint 10 years ago. Only issues is i have never bothered to sort out taillight wiring and the speedometer does not work. It has a new set of ndt tires and original wheels.
