It has rusty rear frame rails. I have new front floor pans for it. I also have an aftermarket tank , brakes , master cylinder & a complete harness. Tank not in it. Comes with a 1951 4dr commodore. It has its own rust issue , not really major though. This car runs , but is not running. I stole a few parts for the 50. These need to be towed as inoperable. Being sold as is , where is.

Seller's comments and description: 1950 hudson pacemaker deluxe brougham history the hudson motor car company was known for producing durable, well engineered butconservatively styled automobiles. That reputation was to be forever changed on december 7th, 1947 when hudsonintroduced their new 1948 models in nationwide showings. Banners proclaimed “this time it’s hudson”. The carswon instant acclaim from the public. Production had actually begun on october 12th. The tremendous factoryconversion effort took only 23 days. Hudson spent $16,000,000 for development and new production equipment. The newcar was revolutionary in that virtually no parts interchanged with the 1947 models, except the eight cylinderengine, which was essentially the same. The car had the lowest center of gravity and the lowest roofline of anyamerican car without sacrificing headroom, due to the floorpans being attached to the bottom of the frame membersinstead of the top as all previous american cars had been. While the 1941 nash 600 had been the first productionunibody car, the new hudson was significantly more rugged in construction and offered a sleek new design that wasway ahead of the competition. The new body design was termed “monobilt” because the body structure was ofwelded all steel construction. The cars were available in super and commodore trim levels with either a six oreight cylinder engine. In the fall of 1949 hudson introduced a new lower priced line of cars, the new 1950pacemaker. It was offered in the standard or deluxe series. The current mileage is 85,983. The mileageis listed as actual on the indiana title. It has been driven about 6,000 miles in the last 11 years. It is equippedwith a radio, heater, aftermarket directional signals, ventshades, oil bath air cleaner, seat covers, foglights,reproduction goodyear super cushion whitewall tires including the spare and beauty rings. It really is prettydeluxe! It has standard shift without overdrive and a 4 1/9 rear axle. It runs and drives nicely and has a cruising speed of 60 mph. The engine is smooth and quiet,the clutch is smooth and the gearboxes are silent. All of the lights and gauges work. When i got the car in 2004, idid a complete brake, wheel seal and bearing job and a conversion to dot5 silicone brake fluid. The brakes stillwork perfectly including the parking brake! I also installed a fresh fuel tank and cleaned the oilpan. At that timei polished and installed a correct nos steering wheel that is still perfect! The radio plays, the heater producesnice heat and the vacuum wipers work. This car has no rust. The paint is over 40 years old andthere are no bubbles. The old lacquer paint is still very shiny. There are a few touchups. All of the chrome, emblems and glass are very nice to excellent and much of it is original! Theaccessory seat covers appear to have been on since new. The balance of the original interior is nice, although there are a few stains on the headliner. Theoriginal rubber floormats are perfect! The defects on this car are few. There is a single rockchip in the driversside windshield. The windup clock is inop. The temperature gauge indicates higher than the actual temp, which istypical of the 48-50 hudsons. This is a smooth, whisper quiet, matching number, good running 232. It is currentlylicensed, insured and on the road. I believe the mileage is accurate to the car, but the engine is . This engine has an exhaust manifold gasket leak but there is a new gasket included. Hudson's were made in detroit until 1954, when they merged with nash-kelvinator to create american motors (amc). The commodore was produced from 1941 to 1952 (sans war years). The commodore was the largest and most luxurious hudson model. The commodore is also lauded for being a creative product of betty thatcher, the first female designer employed by a car manufacturer. In 1948, the commodore was one of the first new design cars post-wwii. With an encircling frame, passengers lowered themselves to enter the vehicle. This design became known as a “step-down” separated itself from other contemporary cars. The surrounding frame also improved safety and performance, as hudson dominated nascar from 1951-1954. This ’50 hudson commodore 8 sedan is a really good example restored and maintained to mostly stock specifications. It’s two-tone red paint shows really well. The interior and headliner appear in excellent shape with the wood-trim showing really well helping the classic and unique look and feel for the high luxury of the time. This car is powered by the 254ci inline 8-cylinder engine paired with the 3-speed column shift manual transmission with overdrive. This car uses the 6-volt system with a new period correct wiring system. This is an impressive commodore 8 which is a rarely found classic in such stock and excellent condition.
