Wish I didn't have to sell her, but I'm moving across the country. She's in great condition--all original interior with custom rims. Originalmotor, however I replaced the head gasket, carburetor, installed a fan toprevent any overheating, installed fully functioning A/C, replaced the frontshocks and struts, installed power steering, and flushed out the gauge, and temperature gauge don't work but I installed a fullyfunctioning after market triple cluster gauge beneath while maintaining originalfor aesthetics. Gas gauge doesn't work so I always fill her up after 80miles and keep a portable tank of gas in the trunk (included) just in case. Ithas a few minor cosmetic imperfections common for antique daily drivers (onetear in drivers seat fabric hidden under seat covers, and hardly noticeableexterior dings.) This car has only had three owners including myself. All thework I've had done is documented-- I've invested a lot to make thiscar a daily driver. I also have the original factory manual. I installed a newsound system with aux input and CD player under the original to keep theoriginal radio intact for aesthetics. Ready to drive. -VINavailable upon request-No returns. Seller's comments and description: rare 1978 ford mustang king cobra. The car is midnight blue with chamois color interior. Graphics are orange and gold. Car was originally a rust free florida car which i purchased 23 years ago and am the second owner. Car has been stored indoors in a heated garage over the last 23 years and has some restoration work done including new carpet, paint, decals, headliner, and cloth seat inserts. Most of the work is about 15 years old but car has not left the garage until recently so it's still in good shape. Brand new tires were installed just recently. The rest is all original even has the original spark plug wires yet. Probably will not find a more original example. The car has a 4 speed manual transmission, power steering and power brakes. Has ac but needs freon as it lost it's charge when i replaced the heater core some years back. Has a dealer installed radio which is original but works intermittently. All other accessories work great including the gauges, wipers, washer, lighting, horn etc. 88,700 original miles. Probably have only put on not even 1000 miles since purchased. Car comes with original owners manual, warranty card, audiovox radio pamphlet, multiple sets of original aluminum keys, and full set of 1978 ford shop manuals. Original spare tire and jack still in the back. Has original buck tag indicating it's a true king cobra. Car is a true time capsule. Just had it at a local car show and it gets a lot of attention.
