This is a serial number continuation series superformance car that was built in 2006 but is titled as a 1966, the build was completed by jfc racing out of auburn washington in 2006. It has a 575hp roush 427 paired with a zf/rbt transaxle and a mastershift electronic paddle shifter. This is actually titled as a 1966, unlike most that can only be titled for the year they were built. It was completely gone through and sorted out by hillbank motor corporation in 2016 to ensure it is ready to be enjoyed. All vehicles are 1 only, previously owned, and are subject to prior sale. With only around 100 original cars made, replicas with varying degrees of accuracy have been produced almost since the introduction of the original cars. American gt was one of those manufacturers -- they built a handful of very accurate cars in the late 1990s, supposedly derived from the kva molds that descended directly from the ford factory in england. This very car was the first american gt prototype and appeared in the company's brochure. Chris bramhall, the head of american gt, drove this car for some time before he decided to cannibalize it for components to complete the second kit. Bought in 2002 as basically a shell the car was painstakingly rebuilt from either refurbished or custom manufactured parts. The original silver paint was stripped and the body was repainted in wimbledon white with guardsman blue racing stripes. Rewired from nose to tail any issues that the prototype model had were addressed with everything now working as it should. A new air conditioning system was installed as those little windows do not do much for air flow. Now with that edition this car has the capability to be driven, quite comfortably on a daily basis. Rear hub carriers were redesigned to accommodate slightly wider custom wheels and tires. As in the original gt40, this car has twin fuel tanks and gauges with a switch to toggle between the two. The interior is full on race car with its detachable steering wheel and extremely short throw shifter it is all about performance. The car was completed (for the second time) in 2008 and has been enjoyed as a nice-weather driver (and very occasional weekend track toy). It is titled, clean and clear, as a 1966 ford gt40. Street legal with headlights, taillights, brake lights, blinkers, horn and wiper. Full-time rear camera with a screen mounted in the console is just another option that makes this gt40 stand out.
