The hemi v8 with overdrive was mydream and it has certainly lived up to my expectations, in among the work that has been done: - rebuiltfront end and steering - new coil and leaf springs- recored radiator- rebuilt3. 9:1 rear end installed for slightly higher gearing. Still have the original4. 1:1.- newly mfd. Driveshaft with standard type u-jts instead of therubber-bellows detroit u-jts. Still have original.- 6v alternator. Still havegenerator.- pcv system replaces road draft crankcase vent.- stainless exhaustsystem- michelin wsw radial tires- replaced original 1953 ram hood mascot- auxiliary electric fuel pump- optima battery-halogen light bulbs (from bill hirsch i have collected many spare parts and manyradios and a heater system taken from a `54 suburban which i intended to installbut never got around to it. Weak points: - cloth headliner has some black spotsthat bled through from the por-15 and r-bloc that i put on the inside roof forrustproofing and sound deadening purposes. Should be replaced with a vinylheadliner. Floors under carpets have r-bloc also.

1954 dodge power wagon - metairie, laprivate seller - louisianametairie, la 70002ph: 9092459373web: www. Desertwindcustoms. Comoptions:description:this is a correctly restored 1954 dodge m37 3/4 ton. The attention to detail is amazing. This truck was ground up restored correctly using all correct parts down to the dodge brothers bolts. I did add locking front hubs to help the truck and front end parts last many,many more years. It also has a correct alternator that was put on in place of the generator by the army. The truck has about 4k miles on it since restoration . A lot of time to go through and make sure it was done right. Only use it for parades ,shows, and going to veterans homes. Don't drive it during bad weather or on wet roads. Everything on it works correctly as it should. It just had an engine oil change along with new spark plugs, fuel filter, coil, air filter oil ,coolant ,etc. I drive it about 500 miles a year. All fluids in the truck are checked and at the correct levels. I use correct amsoil synthetic in the diffs and transmission and t case. The winch oil is correct mobile worm gear oil along with the steering box. The engine and air filter use shell rotella 15w40. I use premium non ethanol gas in the truck so it has no problems with the fuel hurting the truck. The stenciled items on the truck are very high quality. I used special stencils from military stencils. Com when i painted the markings on and they are very crisp. The truck has a new canvas cab top replaced in the last few months along with some new straps. The cargo cover is in great condition. The bows and seats in it are ironwood i'm told. I put a coat of raw linseed oil once a year on them. The radio mount in the back with antenna comes with it along with the fuel can, replica m16 rifle, a couple wooden crate.
