Low miles and as clean as they come. “the forward looking collector will note that classic trucks are just getting started - and there are plenty of underpublicized specimens out there†autoweek magazine february 2016. History the 1974 through 1980 models came without a roof, with a dealer-installed fabric top, or an optional removable steel roof with a flip up rear tailgate window. The early 1974 year model differs from the others in that its door pillars are attached to the removable roof. The "half doors" were used up to the build date of 6-10-74, afterwards the roof was changed to use normal pickup style doors. Marketed as a basic utility vehicle, only the driver's seat was standard equipment with the passenger seat optional up to 1976. Also in 1974 the big block 440 v8 was an option (the only year with the option). Also available was an insulated center console for keeping items cool when filled with ice. Interior -hiback command seat option in front. -the rear (3 passenger) bench seat is very clean, no rips, tears, or stains (all rare stainless trim present). -factory stock rollbar, painted to color match. -original am/fm stereo with clock. -original center console. -original dash. -carpet replaced with color matched heavy duty loop. -class 3 trailer hitch with electrical connections. Mechanical -engine: original 400ci big block, 6. 6l, 8 cylinders. 47k miles. Very very hard to find big block. -transmission: 727hd (1k on fresh rebuild). -transfer case: new process np203 (1k on fresh rebuild). -axles: front dana 44 / rear 10 bolt 8 1/4. -front / rear diff ratio: 3. 73. -dual exhau.
