We’re suckers for “survivor”, “time capsule” cars here at evolve, and this lebaron absolutely falls into that category. With its original sable tan sunfire metallic paint and well-preserved, unrestored interior, this lebaron takes us right back to 1979. Exterior: first off, paint. The paint has a great metallic sparkle to it under direct light. The paint shows very, very few signs of age. There are a few scratches/chips that have been touched up, by far and wide the most significant of those being at the bottom of the passenger rear quarter panel – see the close up photo. There are no visible rock chips, even at the lowest points of the front end and behind the rear wheels. Tan pinstripes are without cracks or wear, and contrast extremely well against the metallic brown paint. Chrome is excellent throughout, and really completes the look of this 2-door coupe. There is no oxidation on the chrome; it shines nice and bright. Brown landau top is in pristine condition, with absolutely no scratches, scrapes, or damage. Panel fitment is dead-on and the doors close without a fuss. The car truly is in impressive shape. Interior: light tan cloth interior looks great against the metallic brown exterior. Inside, the car presents similarly well to the exterior; nicely preserved with only very minor imperfections. Interior wear is limited to some fading by the inner lower corner of the windshield on the passenger side. Other than that one spot, the interior of this le baron is absolutely mint. Bench seat is very comfortable and is free of stains or tears. Carpets are stain and tear free as well, as the car has had rubber floor mats in it. Those will come with the car. Headliner is tight, backseat shows no wear. All powered systems are functional – dash lights, cruise control, heat, air conditioning, seat adjustments, radio, and gauges. All lights are functional both inside and out. Odometer is functional and currently reads 51,319 miles. Under the hood / underbody: this lebaron medallion coupe retains its original 225cid 3. 7l slant-6. Car runs and drives very, very well. Starts right up, idles cool and steady, and tracks nice and straight down the road. Brakes feel very good, with no hooking in either direction. Underneath, the car is in really nice shape. There is absolutely no rust of concern; there is nothing more than a little light surface rust; all structural components are rock solid. This car was undercoated from the factory, and that has kept the underside in excellent shape. Overall, this ‘79 lebaron medallion coupe is an extremely well-preserved example that has clearly been enthusiast-owned. It has always been garage kept and maintained with originality as paramount. 1979 chrysler cordoba. Highly optioned car, 2 fender tag. Car runs and drives!!! This car has its original 360 v8, althought it was a 2 barrel lean-burn car it has since been converted to a 4 barrel with electronic ignition. The intake was off a 79 300 and it has an edelbrock 1406 carb with electric choke. The electronic ignition is from pertronix. The 2-barrel kickdown linkage was replaced with a lokar cable kit and setup so the car shifts properly. This car had an underhood fire which was repaired with a new wiring harness from a 79 300. Along with the wiring harness and upgrade to pertronix ignition, a new alternator, battery, water pump, hoses and radiator were installed. The original intake and brass radiator are available for the next owner. Catylitic converter was missing from car when purchased so straight 2 1/2 pipe was installed and a flowmaster 50 series delta muffler installed for a nice, mellow tone, very quiet on the inside. Along with the above, within the last 1000 miles the car has received new brakes front and rear including new wheel bearings, rubber lines, calipers, rotors, drums, wheel cylinders, hardware kit and flushed the brake fluid. The car has also had the tires rotated, alignment done, and fresh oil change with zinc additive. This car is highly optioned including power seats, power windows, ac, electric moon roof, cruise control. While very nice the car is not perfect, as is usual with 40+ year old cars. Needs an antenna, the radio works but wont hold a signal without a new antenna, the ac system needs rebuilt/replaced, paint is worn thin in some spots like fender tops, needs a headliner, needs choke setup as is currently wired open, rust in trunk lid but no found rust in body, needs new weather seals, new wiring under hood needs loomed up to clean up, cruise control not hooked up or tested. Probably needs other minor things fixed as well. Yes its easy to tear down older cars that aren't perfect, but this one is much easier to speak of the positives than the negatives. This was an older gentleman's driver and shows some wear as such, but still has a ton of life left!!! I've driving this car almost every day for the last month so id easily say its dependable. As with any description i try to be as open and honest as possible but there is a chance i've forgotten something or have not yet discovered some details about the car so feel free to ask questions. Car is located in gladstone, or. Balance due within 10 business days. Clean title in hand. I only uploaded 4 in the above image bank but put a bunch more below this text.
