Seller's Comments and Description: The 1990 Chevrolet 454 SS is a high performance full size pickup that mated the C1500 standard two wheel drive cabwith an absolutely killer 454ci 7.4 liter, eight cylinder engine(V-8), the 3 speed automatic transmission and a3.73 rear axle ratio helped thrust the 454 beast under the hood, the engine(90 Model) produced a maximum of 230hp,385 foot pounds of torque, All this power was pushed out to Goodyear tires on Special 454 SS rims. The interiorcomes equipped with a special plush Garnet Red cloth interior and high-back reclining sport bucket seats with aCenter Console. Other items include front air dam with lights, 454 SS graphic decals on rear bed left and right, black paint withblack grille, bumpers, and mirrors. Halogen Headlamps, Also standard for the 454 SS were 32 millimeter Bilsteingas-filled shock absorbers, a 32 millimeter front stabilizer bar, 12.7 to 1 fast-ratio steering gear assembly andheavy duty jounce bumpers. A Little historyThe 454 SS was and still is a pure thrill machine. Stock models are good for mid to high 15 second range in thequarter mile times. Its midrange punch is even better. The 454 SS was manufactured and assembled at only oneGeneral motors plant located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This particular truck was sold new in Rochester, New York to a local Chevy enthusiast. Purchased for its rarityand performance, the truck saw limited use in nice weather. I acquired the truck in 1993 with only 1,220 miles onit. Just 200 miles has been added to it over that time. The clear NY title still in the original owner's name has been signed off and is ready to be transferred into thenew owner's name. This sought after truck is in near show room condition with only the light oxidation on the bare metal parts andlight scuffing on the bed floor keeping it from being perfect. I have had the truck for approximately 3 years and i have decided i need to make room for a different truck. The truck is not a perfect ten, but i would consider it an 8. 5 (i'm very picky). The truck has a custom aluminum tonneau cover. The truck also has a 4/6 drop. It runs on boyd staggered wheels. It has a 225/60/15 front & 275/60/15 rear bfgoodrich tires (around 1000 miles on tires). I have put new brake lines and new belts on the truck in the last month. It has new tail lights, cargo light and parking lights. It has been professionally detailed. What the truck still needs in my opinion. First more horsepower, original engine produces about 235-240 hp. The truck had an upgraded cam put in it before i purchased, but i would say that it only has added a few hp to its output. Second, the inside bed of the truck could use a paint job or a rhino lining added to it. I did not want to change anything with that unless i kept the truck. Third, potentially a new headliner. It does not sag, but does not look quite as good as the rest of the interior. This is the first time i have sold a car on ebay.

This truck personifies the old gm maxim that gm vehicles will run badly longer than other vehicles will run. So it starts (even after sitting idly for weeks), it shifts, it stops. It does all of these things adequately and safely. No, really, assume nothing else works. Anything that appears to work just isnt getting with the program. Also, it has body rust (see pictures) and the interior is somewhere between dirty and disreputable. I thought about cleaning it. I also thought about exercising more and eating more fruits and vegetables. All these thoughts will go unexecuted. There might be other parts under the seat, but lacking eye protection i am unwilling to look under there. Something might be looking back. Its on ebay and not craigslist because buying a $600 or -) truck should be treated like an arranged marriage. I bought it to move large things and mulch (note that the three yards in the bed have been unloaded and do not convey, but the blue tarp does) and it is now surplus to my needs. It has new windshield wipers, a haynes repair manual and a tank of gas, which between them account for about 20% of the trucks value. The tires (just 4, no spare) are round and have tread and do a passable job of holding air. It doesnt appear to leak anything important, and does not leave a smokescreen behind it. It smokes a little at start-up on general principle. Driving it is like riding an old horse, only slightly smellier. But by golly it can carry a lot of stuff. Air Conditioning
