1926 buick deluxe, daily driver. The changes made, down draft carb, 12 volt alternator, electric fan, can all be change back to original. Nothing was cut or altered, i do have the parts. This car is not perfect but is in my opinion is above average. I have owned this car for 10 years and its time to sell or trade the only trade i am interested in is a model a shay. Up for auction is one cool rod. "the jag rod" this custom build, melts jag in to buick, in a one of a kind hot rod. The 1926 buick body is a mclaughlin body, built in canada (very rare). All original wood was removed and replaced with metal. Then the top was chopped 5" and body dropped over the custom frame 5". Custom tail lights and gas fill were molded into the body. Paint is ppg satin tan. It has hand pin striping, and a matching vinyl top. The original buick grill was used and restored original head lights installed (looks cool). New tinted glass all around shows off the custom interior. One off dash with jag gages and custom console with cup holders, were fabricated and nice done upholstery installed. Pontiac bucket seats, with speakers built in, and restored original steering wheel gives the car it's own look. The chassis is a complete custom build with suicide front end, chrome shocks, disc brakes, with buick finned drums up front. The jag e type independent rear end, with duel chrome coil overs, and inboard disk brakes are at the rear. The car is running the cool 1971 to 1975 xke series 3 e type jag v12 engine with 4 stromberg side draft carbs, custom one off exhaust, and it runs strong. (0 to 60 in less than 7 seconds.) transmission is 350 automatic. True spoke wire wheels are at the 4 corners with new radial tires. This build was finished in 2006 and the car has been in many shows with honors. Buick had a relationship with british car manufactures in the 1920's, so this build was a tribute to that relationship. Buick would be happy to oblige these requests by completely dropping the 4 Cylinder engine all together and going with either the entry 207 CID straight 6 or the mammoth 274 CID which is what is found in this beauty. This 7 passenger 26 Buick has been in the same family for the last 30 years with consistent and constant maintenance going on throughout the ownership period. People wanted bigger and more lavish things than ever before and this would hold true especially in the car world
