63 buick lesabre 2 door. I have the original 1963 cali plates, the car is currently registered on 1963 utah plates. Engine was pulled and resealed last year. It is a 401 ci buick nailhead that was rated from the factory at 325hp and 445tq. The trans was a dynaflow and it was no good so i swapped it out with an st400 trans. The trans was rebuilt and had a shift kit installed. St400 is like a th400 but it has a 2 speed torque converter and a nailhead specific bell housing. Car has a cool patina that gets lots of compliments. The interior is original and could use some restoration but it is usable as is. The car is on air ride and will lay the frame on the ground. Slam bags on all 4 corners and dual viair compressor, (no ebay knock off stuff). 18 wheel and tires that are almost new. New master cylinder, wheel cylinders and brake hoses. This is a fun car that gets lots of attention driving around and at cruise nights, i have had my fun with it though it might be time to move on to something else. May consider a trade for a later model car, something v8 and rwd like a camaro, corvette, mustang or something similar, cash works too.

The LeSabre name plate has been around since 1951 when the show car was released and introduced to people to such things as the wrap-around windshield and aircraft inspired design elements like tail fins. This 63 was part of the second-generation line of LeSabre but really could have been its own generation. The bodylines were boxier and when combined with a revised roofline the 4 door hardtops were truly a different car. This all original beauty still retains its factory paint and for being 54 years old it looks amazing. The chrome is in excellent condition that still shines up nicely with very little pitting. The 401 was introduced to the LeSabre line the year before and was raved upon by critics. Matched up to the Turbine Drive 2 speed automatic transmission this Buick is an absolute pleasure to drive. Though the Dynaflow transmission was put to rest after this year it is still considered one of the smoothest simply because it does not shift. s an automatic is still up for discussion to this day. Open one of the 4 doors and the interior is sure to surprise. All original like the rest of the car the two toned vinyl is in excellent condition and goes well with the car. Given the condition and the list of options this all original beauty has I highly doubt she will be around for ling.
