Up for sale is my unrestored all original 1970 Buick LeSabre Custom with the optional 455 engine and automatic turbo 400 transmission. Body as said is very clean only one area of rust bubbling on the passenger rear quarter (as pictured) the rest of the car is very nice no rust issues at all, car still has the original paint with a vinyl top that has been replaced at some point but still looks very nice, all chrome trim, bumpers, and die cast are still very nice no pitting and still shines very good, no rust holes in main floor or trunk floor and the frame is perfect no rust pitting at all, all the glass is intact n

This buick was purchased new in 1961 at mel brown buick in waynesboro, pa. By its original owner mr. The car, when new, was originally silver until the mid-70's when mr. Florence had it painted to its present yellow. Florence owned the car until his passing in the mid-2000's. I was turned onto the car by an old friend, who knew the family and i purchased it in 2009. The car has only had 2 owners. I like its imperfections, aged paint, and original am radio. Its not perfect, it had tiny rust spots at the rear wheel wells, that have not changed since i have had it. The car has been garage kept and well maintained its entire life. The factory carpet, seats and overall interior is in excellent shape, but there is a minor tear in the drivers seat back, i have patched. This car was never meant to do burn-outs or a 10 second quarter mile but it does what was built for, turn heads and cruise all day long. It is reliable and dependable. It drives as smooth in a cruise downtown or at 70mph on the interstate. Since i have had it, i have made keeping it reliable a priority. There have been diligent oil changes, new hoses, lines and attention paid to keeping this car turn key and road ready. Power steering, power brakes, no a/c, new aluminum heater core, hubcaps are '62, original '61 hubcaps come with, radial tires w/ less than 5,000 miles. At 56 years old and with no restoration there are a few obvious cosmetic flaws. The speedometer does not work, and i have been trying to think of any other issues and cannot come up with anything. Any checks, bank, cashier's or otherwise will need to clear and be approved by my bank and attorney before the car and its title leave my possession. Air Conditioning

After 57 years i have decided to part ways with my 1960 buick lesabre 2 door hardtop. I bought the car new in february 1960 from nick allen's buick in newport news, virginia. I was 29 when i bought the car new and now at age 86 i feel it is time to find a new home for this classic icon of the 1960's. This car has not been registered and driven on the road in 25 years. It has not been started in over 20 years. It will require a very extensive restoration to bring it back to life again. The winning bidder will need to have the car towed away at auctions end but i will give plenty of time to arrange shipping. It came equipped with standard 364 v8 nailhead engine and automatic transmission. The car comes with 2 bumper jacks and all 4 hubcaps are still on the car. Unfortunately the weather and elements have taken a toll on the overall car and it has suffered large areas of rust in the floor pans and door jams. Despite all of the work that needs to be done, i feel it is a worthwhile restoration project since the old cars report price guide list the car's value up to $38,000 when completely restored. I would imagine that a frame off restoration would be in order to make the car right again. The good news is that it has the factory original matching number 2 barrel carburetor engine and transmission that was installed at the factory. Some buick enthusiasts have told me the value of the engine and transmission probably exceed the starting price of what i am asking for the entire car. I have most all chrome pieces in the back seat of the car to make the car complete again. I do have the original clear virginia title and a set of keys for the car. The LeSabre name plate has been around since 1951 when the show car was released and introduced to people to such things as the wrap-around windshield and aircraft inspired design elements like tail fins. This 63 was part of the second-generation line of LeSabre but really could have been its own generation. The bodylines were boxier and when combined with a revised roofline the 4 door hardtops were truly a different car. This all original beauty still retains its factory paint and for being 54 years old it looks amazing. The chrome is in excellent condition that still shines up nicely with very little pitting. The 401 was introduced to the LeSabre line the year before and was raved upon by critics. Matched up to the Turbine Drive 2 speed automatic transmission this Buick is an absolute pleasure to drive. Though the Dynaflow transmission was put to rest after this year it is still considered one of the smoothest simply because it does not shift. s an automatic is still up for discussion to this day. Open one of the 4 doors and the interior is sure to surprise. All original like the rest of the car the two toned vinyl is in excellent condition and goes well with the car. Given the condition and the list of options this all original beauty has I highly doubt she will be around for ling.
