I recently retired and have decided to sell off some of my vintage carcollection. For sale is a frame off rotisserie restored AMX that I've owned for over 21years now. The attention to detail and dedication to originality was the done to thehighest standard in the AMC world. It has the striking color combo of FrostWhite w/Red vinyl factory stripe and Red Leather bucket seat interior. This isan original Factory Go-Pack car which included the functional Ram Air set up,power 4 piston disc brakes and the locking differential. This car is alloriginal with the original factory "born with" 390 Ram Air engine, Borg Warnerautomatic transmission and the AMC posi-traction 3:15 rear end. The originalcarburetor was restored by Jon Hargrove aka "The Carb Doctor". All bodyrestoration & paint work was professionally done by TCR Custom in Sanford, NC. The car runs excellent and has virtually no miles since being restored. Ipurchased this car as a barn find in 1996 with 58,699 original miles (currentmileage) and it had been in storage for a long time. I had always loved the AMX2 seat muscle cars and this was a perfect car to restore as it was a completeoriginal running car with minimal rust. The body was acid dipped to remove allof the old paint and rust of which the rust was very minor. The body panels suchas quarter panels doors, hood and one fender are the original to the car. Onefender was replaced from a fender bender early in it's life. All componentswere rebuilt & restored to factory specs. The body and paint work are showquality.

I am selling my 1970 AMX I purchased it from the guy's kid his dad worked at the AMC plant in Kenosha the car has around 56000 miles on it the guy had gotten sick and his kids had to sell the car for medical bills he did repaint the car in it's original color which is black the trim code is missing from the door but the Kid told me that it's been black since he can remember and that was around 1973. the paint is mint and the body is straight as an arrow.

The amc amx is a two-seat gt-style sports car that was produced by american motors corporation for the 1968 through 1970 model years. The amx was also classified as a muscle car, but "unique among other american cars at the time due to its short wheelbase". The amx was also the only american-built steel-bodied two-seater of its time, the first since the 1955-1957 ford thunderbird. To a degree, the amx was a competitor with america's only other two-seater of the era, the chevrolet corvette for substantially less money. With a one-inch (2. 5 cm) shorter wheelbase than chevrolet's two-seater, the amx was often seen by the press as a "corvette competitor". Gr auto gallery is pleased to present this 1970 amc amx for consideration. The '70 amx is all muscle car era excellence in a sharp red exterior paint with black leather interior. It's powered by a 390 cubic inch v8 engine and paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Some key features on this amx include; headers, edelbrock intake, msd ignition, 600 holley carburetor, custom march pulleys, light ghost flames, stainless brake lines and fuel lines, stainless steel exhaust and mufflers, custom wood dash with autometer phantom gauges and much more. This vehicle was fully restored over the process of three years back in 2001. The owner has provided us with photographs taken throughout the entire process, and also a large binder full of receipts and service records that are available. Makes every effort to represent each vehicle accurately and with integrity. We also welcome third party inspections when necessary. It's a lifelong oregon car with no rust whatsoever. Has no rust, never had any rust anywhere. I can't stress this enough. 100% original metal with not even a pinholeto repair during restoration. Dash pad and steering whell are original and mint condition with no cracks. Seats are original leather. Carshows 60,000 miles and i can't prove it but i'm sure that's correct. Original 390 was rebuilt to the highest standards with bulltear pistons at 10. 1 compression so it will run on pumpsuper. 4spd was rebuilt and shifts like new. Centerforce clutch , new holly carb, everything reconditioned orreplaced that wasn't mint condition original. The original paint was sanded down and very little filler was needed. A top notch paint job was applied usingglasurit products. Bumpers were show chromed. Original tinted glass is in amazing condition. Original trunkspatter paint is near perfect and left as it was.
