The amx is a two-seat gt-style sports car that was produced by american motors corporation from 1968 to 1970. The amx was also classified as a muscle car, but differed from other american cars at the time because of its short wheelbase. The name amx is actually an acronym for american motors experimental, which was a code assigned to concept vehicles in the mid-sixties. The amx was also the only american-built steel-bodied two-seater of its time, the first since the 1955-1957 ford thunderbird, and rivaled the only other two-seat american muscle car: the chevrolet corvette. With a short three-year production run, the amx was discontinued in 1970, and was replaced by the javelin from '71-'74. This classic amx makes quite the statement with the frost white covering the cool and vintage bodylines and the red racing stripe that matches the cars original interior.
