UK Vin# IS SALLDVAB7EA343688 This is a very clean, mechanically sound vehicle despite it's age, but it is over 25yrs old and there will be imperfections. There are a few minor issues that I haven't addressed yet, but they are easy fixes:The lighting needs rewiring as some lights only work intermittently. The spare tire is too large for the factory mount. The driver's seat-back is starting to split. The tires do rub at the steering locks, inexpensively fixed with wheel spacers. I was not the importer of the vehicle but it has an Illinois title and has been registered in two states without issue. This vehicle is also listed locally, this auction may be cancelled if sold before it ends.

This is an excellent example of a defender that was extensively refurbished and restored to original condition with tasteful upgrades! This defender has been reliable with the rebuilt, original 2. 5l turbo diesel power plant mated to a 5 speed transmission. It drives great and gets close to 30mpg! Absolutely everything works from the lights to wipers, stereo ext. This defender was first registered in the united kingdom june 21st of 1988. It was imported into the united state this year. It has all importation documents including homeland security, dot and epa. It currently is titled in washington state and is legally licensed, plated and ready for the road. These iconic rigs will hold their value for years to come now that land rover has stopped producing them as of 2015. Cars, boats, rvs, motorcycles we take it all! Exterior: the body has been stripped to bare metal and repainted in lr puma black. All parts that needed to be changed during the restoration were replaced with new ones from screws to rubbers. The nose has been modernized with a heavy duty bumper, puma grill and headlight finishers, with a puma bonnet. It received a new safari snorkel, light bar with 4 spots and the side step bars have been removed. Interior: the interior has been upgraded with new exmoor trim diamond style xs leather seats, rubber and carpet matting. The load space has been upgraded with custom made brand new galvanized wheel arches, reinforced wood ply and aluminum strips. Engine: the engine underwent a complete reconditioning and refresh. Everything that was subject to wear and tear was replaced such as valves, rubbers, gaskets, timing belt. Water pump, injectors, glow plugs, hoses, belts and so on. Extensive list below. Chassis: the entire chassis has been cleaned to bare metal, treated with anti-rust and coated. The front outriggers have been replaced by new ones. Drivetrain: the drivetrain has been completely checked and works perfectly. All oils and lubricants are new in the gearbox, transfer case, axles and differentials. The clutch system is new, front prop shaft was replaced for a new one including joints. Brakes and suspension: brakes all around are new: discs, calipers, drums, shoes and so on. All new springs were installed with new heavy duty shocks. Electronics: all the lighting was updated with led lights. The headlights are replaced by side dip xenon lights. Above the windscreen is a light bar with 4 new wipac spots mounted. The bumper also contains 2new spots. A kenwood radio cd usb player with amplifier and strong speakers were installed.
